Funbags is dead

So after weeks of bullshit promises about when Funbags will update again, I doubt there will ever be an update. I would ask for my money back at this point, but that will never happen. I have been a Funbags, Redclouds and/or Homeclips member for most of the last 15 years, and I stuck by VW during the most recent downtime, but I think this is it for me. It was a good run.

I understand that FBs has taken quite awhile for the team to recover and recode, and I am sorry for this. The FB site and the material is massive so the undertaking was not an easy one. It is my understanding that an update to FBs will occur this week, then further updates will be rolled out shortly afterwards. Please note that you have not paid for any of the time that FBs has not been updated.

Seawolves89, sounds like at least your membership is active for whatever good that does. Some of us have given up on ever getting an answer to why our RC and FB are defunct.

Kiki, you probably should stop carrying empty promises to the BB. IMHO, they only hurt the fragile credibility of VW at this time. I feel we are playing the "phone game" in grade school. We ask something to you. You ask something slightly different to a mystery Tech Guy. That Tech guy asks something different to the guy actually doing the work. The actual worker reports back on something not quite related. That comes back you to repost to us. And we wonder if anyone is really listening.

Yeah, thinking the same thing. Have asked about updates 2 different times and the same reply, " there should be an update within the week". What do you mean we are not paying for access to Funbags, we've already paid for it. Are you adding additional months to our subscription from the time the site went down and no updates?

You will be getting additional time added to your accounts as a result of the inconvenience, and Funbags is something that we have been working on non-stop, it is not our intention to keep you waiting any longer than necessary for updates. Please understand that it is a huge archive which spans many years of technology, which is great and fun for viewing, but terrible to try to put back together as one properly working, user-friendly unit, as a video from several years ago had a totally different format than one now.

Since September, it's been "a few more weeks," or "end of next week." Now that everyone is tired of the bull, is it possible to realistically estimate when we might see an update? If you can't estimate, please just tell us that, don't give us another meaningless empty promise.
