Some of you have mentioned that you own your username and password. I do not see anywhere that I said that Members did not own their username and password.

What I said was that this was a unique identifier for each member on VW and the former puny employee had no right to steal it. You are all free to use the same username and password at other webgsites, but some puny employee does not have the right to steal these usernames and passwords and then go start his own site using these usernames and passwords to create traffic for him

Not understanding where some of you developed the misconception that I was saying that you do not own your username and password-- you own it and VW owns it when you are on our site, and when you are on someone else's site, you own it and that someone else you authorized to own it, owns it

Did you authorize ***** to steal your usernames and passwords just because he was a VW employee to take to another site to create traffic for himself?

Seriously? Stop using the phrase 'puny employee'.

You lose all credibility with me and, from what I can see, with many others when you name-call in what should be a professional response to a question.

re-read what you posted in the username password thread. You clearly say that VW ASSIGNED the username and password, and that it is the property of VW. I do not have a misconception. Was just clearly asking on what you posted.

also please re read the fourth paragraph of the same thread. Basically if I am useing my password with VW and other sites, then I am basically stealing from myself. Just stating what was written by you.

VW assigned the username and password to your Membership-- it is very clear that the username and password is the property of VW for purposes of some puny employee stealing it. It is like working for a company, and stealing the one access to the clients of the company by grabbing their username and password so you can invite them to your new company--

Again, I never said you do not own your username and password but VW owns it when you use it on VW's site because that is the unique identifier for you-- you can choose to use it on other websites and get membership on other websites, but you are voluntarily going into those websites and using the same username and password. Here, ***** stole your username and password so he could have your membership, and steal you away from VW. Do not understand the confusion in your mind. Did this clarify it a bit. Nothing wrong with you using the same unique identifier on another site, but something definitely wrong with a puny former employee stealing that unique identifier to steal your membership-- there is a big difference!

Totally agree the name calling and all the other negative things you have to say are not putting this website back up. We all will shut up once that happens and again could care less about your employee problems.

For a public director you lack professional tact.

Again!! Re read the thread you started titled usernames and passwords. Look closely at the words you wrote. There is no confusion in my mind. Just simply pointing out what you wrote and how it is being perceived.

Thank you for pointing that out. It has now been clarified. Problem solved.
