Yes, the sign of an intelligent good leader.
Just Stupid likes the extremely bad leaders who know what is best for everyone without thinking or consulting anyone else.

What a great opportunity! We have a chance to cut the deficit and possibly eliminate it, We have a chance to revamp the tax code and eliminate the special interest deductions, We can bring back manufacturing by demanding that other countries give us a fair shake, we can make huge cuts to defense spending and make our dollar buy much more through wise use of our tax dollars, we can start rebuilding our infrastructure, we can correct our failing educational system, we can make ourselves energy independent and we can solve our immigration and guest worker problem. No, I'm not smoking those twisty-ended cigarettes. These are things we have to do and do now.
I would also like our country to have a sensible energy plan to wean ourselves from foreign energy within 10 years. It can be done. Rocky Mountain Institute and the Union Of Concerned Scientists have already developed such plans that could be implemented mow with little impact to our economy.

Republicans, well, the sane ones, are very much in shell shock and in a mood to compromise and move on to try to again be a mainstream political party. Let's see if the morons who took over this last decade can prevent sanity.

When you owe money to a financial institution and they are calling the shots, do get to demand from them how things should be done?
for the USA to get said shake they have to give it as well. Is that likely?
Bringing Manufacturing back is a 5-10 year plan IMHO

One business rule is to never owe a great deal of money to many different lenders because then they have you by the short hairs. Each lender can take the small loss. If you owe the bulk of your huge debt to one lender then you are equally exposed to big losses and the lender can NOT hit you hard because your big loss is their big loss.
Corporations strategist all the factors. They intentionally set up circumstances where they will need to be saved. To big to fail is an intentional strategy.

Vj2-We can demand a fair shake just by standing on our hind legs and acting like the world leaders we profess to be. Remember NAFTA? This was supposed to create a huge market for American made goods while giving our neighbors a helping hand with their manufacturing. What happened was that American manufacturers moved across the border (many times within sight of the USA) and set up factories on the scale of what used to be in this country, They pay the Mexican workers $75 a week for the jobs that used to be done in this country. To a lesser extent El Salvador and Guatemala are also using NAFTA against the USA.

Voters have spoken. Obama needs to step up and keep his promises he made in 2008 to right the wrongs. The rich need to pay their fair share and controls need to placed on big businesses, it's time for revenge for all the wrongs of the past. Every worker should have a union they can turn to for help if wronged, wages need to be increased so everyone can join in the wealth this Counry has to offer. There is no reason some people earn 100 times more than another person, that has to be corrected. If Congress won't act Obama should move forward and ignore their attempts to stop him from doing what needs to be done.

In all fairness whites aren't the only ones who have held back blacks, sadly even some blacks turned on blacks for a few crumbs. Yes revenge will be sweet but I don't think using terms like cracker helps us in the long run, because there are some good white people out there who have accepted the wrongs of the past. We need to stand shoulder to shoulder and lean forward with one goal which is to make things right.

Revenge is never a good solution to any problem. However, justice and simple protection from those who wish us violence can be extremely severe. One must never act out of anger. One must act to protect ourselves from those who try to deny freedom, liberty, and try impose their malevolent religious dogma on all and to use their positions of power to take the wealth of the nation for themselves.

Yes. it's time to get with the President and find a way to save this country. Where's is he anyway? Out of the country you say? OH yea!......in Indonesia making promises to those little countries....promises he doesn't intend to keep! Well, in an interview before the election he said he was not going to do anything different. Gee, thanks, Barry!

Obama will keep his promise, the promise to "remake America as it should have been" in the eyes of a Marxist, Socialist, Communist, Anti-American zealot.
