A top aide to former President Joe Biden told the House Oversight Committee on Thursday that another staffer using his email credentials had approved some of the most controversial “autopen” pardons.

Zients also testified that first son Hunter Biden, who received a pardon himself, participated in pardon discussions, while also describing the former president’s mental state in unflattering terms.

According to Axios, Zients — one of the highest-ranking officials in the Biden White House — confirmed that Joe Biden often struggled to recall dates and names and frequently needed additional briefings before making decisions in the final years of his presidency.

johnny, you already posted this pointless autopen distraction back in July. If you don't think presidents should have an autopen, just say so.

Why are you so desperate to distract from what Trump is doing? You could instead start a thread about any of the dozens of Trump's unConstitutional power grabs and corruption that he's committing.

Or are you simply concerned about how Trump's henchmen might abuse the autopen? If so, why not just come out and say it.

But I'm surprised to see johnny insisting that Biden was a pretty decent guy after all. Apparently johnforbes believes someone other than Biden approved the worst of his pardons.

The implication is that johnforbes believes Trump is not like Biden; that Trump is completely responsible for his really corrupt decisions; that he knowingly pardoned 1500 charged and convicted insurrectionists. It doesn't get much worse than that.

Before he had two surgical procedures for brain aneurysms, Joe was by all reports an amiable fellow.

He was never bright, and was suspended from law school for plagiarism.

While a Senator, he had thought FDR gave his fireplace chats on TV, which of course was not commercially available at that time.

Clowntoker, a proud graduate of the Lower Bugtussle Tonsorial Academy, was no great shakes on the academic scene himself.
