Some blacks have claimed that whites should not wear dreadlocks because of cultural appropriation.
In response, Nordic researchers have pointed out that braiding of hair was done long before in Scandinavia.
However, the research staffers for Mr Forbes have a nigh legendary reputation for scholarship, and they have found that braids were actually invented in 1512 in Ireland by a gent named Sir John Braid.
