A Deeply Religious Reason to Not Provide Tax Returns?

I finally have the idea that Romney may be telling the truth for once. That his reason to not provide tax returns is deeply personal and religious.

Romney must certify to his Bishop that he is donating 10% of his gross income to the church. If he does not he will not be a member in good standing and eligible to enter heaven, that is get listed as a good dead Mormon.

He has certified he has donated 10% to his Bishop and he has stated to the public on many occasions that he has donated 10%. So there simply is no validity to his argument that he doesn't want to reveal publically that he has donated 10%. It's much more likely that he doesn't want to reveal to the public and the church that he HASN'T donated 10%. That would be totally consistent with everything else he has done and said.

Good point.

Another news i read is that Romney on his tax returns invested in companies that promote gambling and on cigarettes and liquor. These would not look good on his squeaky clean image as a mormon and to other members of his church since he is a bishop with LDS.

It is well known in Utah and open among the Mormons that all these vices are provided and sold by good Mormons. They seem to have no problem with being drug dealers to the goyem.
