I see that we now have to long in before posting a comment in the regular contri section. I know there is a down side to this as it will reduce the amount of feedback a contri receives, but it should greatly reduce the rude and hateful comments that have been growing in number lately. I'm sure that most of the regular contributors will find this a positive change. I hope that you, VW, are keeping track of registered user names that are reported regularly, and that you suspend or ban repeat offenders that seem unable to change their ways. I hope that this will also be applied to the tit flash section when it returns. That 'other site' is drawing a lot of hate comments to their instant uploading section and they have been unable to correct it so far.

So glad you like the new features! We are trying our best to limit the appalling comments and increase accountability of the users that continuously post comments that do not reflect the community's values. Upon listening to the input of our members and contributors, we were told that some wanted all to comment, others wanted only registered users to comment, and some wanted no comments. We have given them all three options, so while you always need a nickname, you do not necessarily need to register. This is all dependent on the contributor's wishes. Additionally, flagging has been restored which should also limit unwanted abusive behavior. If a user's IP is continually flagged that user will be looked at by the admin and will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

If I'm reading this correctly, then every single contributor for today's Private Shots has selected the option of registered member to comment only. I find that a little surprising considering the opposition that this proposal faced earlier. Perhaps the contributors of our community are more concerned about the quality of the feedback then of the quantity. That's a very good thing...

About time, That whole system before chased away many contributors.
Now if you can keep up with the bad comments, you might have something.
