Rep. Eric Swalwell was one of several politicians involved in an expansive Chinese spying operation and even after he was briefed on the foreign interference he experienced first-hand, he kept his focus publicly on Russia during the Trump presidency.

Liberal news outlet Axios reported that a Chinese national named Christine Fang targeted up-and-coming local politicians, including Swalwell, D-Calif.

And that let's Trump off the hook how?

Fang went on to leave the country in mid-2015.

Of course, Swalwell was no longer dating Fang when he accused Trump of collusion.


Besides, no one knew Fang was a Chinese agent when Swalwell was seeing her. EVERYONE knew Putin was a Russian agent when Trump was colluding with him.

That makes Swalwell's mistake a forgivable mistake and Trump's mistake an unforgivable crime.
