I'm wondering if Bannon was performing a public service by stealing money from racists.....also I'm a little fucking conflicted here?


Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon was arrested Thursday after being charged with defrauding hundreds of thousands of donors through his “We Build the Wall” fundraising campaign.

Bannon pleaded not guilty during a court hearing later Thursday, and he was expected to be released, according to NBC News. Bannon is getting a $5 million bond that is secured by $1.75 million in cash or property that Bannon has to post by Sept. 3. He is not allowed to use private jets or yachts, and he must surrender his passport. His travel will be limited to Connecticut and the New York and Washington, D.C., areas.

Bannon and three associates were indicted in a federal investigation in the Southern District of New York. Prosecutors allege the four defrauded donors by raising “more than $25 million to build a wall along the southern border of the United States,” but some of that money was used for personal gain.

The United States Postal Inspection Service assisted in the investigation.

Others in the indictment are Timothy Shea, a 49-year-old from Colorado accused of owning a shell company, Brian Kolfage, a disabled Iraq war veteran, and Andrew Badolato, who according to his own website was a contributor to Breitbart News, the conservative publication Bannon used to run.

The campaign was intended to raise money to help President Donald Trump fulfill a campaign promise to build a border wall. Instead, prosecutors allege that Bannon and his team profited off the arrangement.

The indictment said the defendants “collectively received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donor funds from ‘We Build the Wall,’ which they each used in a manner inconsistent with the organization’s public representations.”

Well, of course, it was NOT any wall of Trump's involved.

The folks bringing charges are the wildly biased SDNY, where they loathe Trump.

However, I sent off a small donation to that guy who was a triple amputee, so I'll be disappointed if it is true that the money simply got stolen.

But I will still give money to the next military amputee anyhow because, other than the luck of the draw, that could be me.

and if republicans would fund the government especially the men and women that put themselves in "harms way" they would not have to beg like lost puppies and discarded meat. all these pseudo vet save-a -soldier, weep-on-widows, police-need-gear jelly hustles would be fully funded. and should be. but you pseudo hero patriots tax cut this too, then hustle the innocent for a yacht.

I though someone else was supposed to pay for that stupid animal habitat killing, family farm land destruction wall? if i could only remember who that was.? they could have saved bannon some spanin'.

The amputee who was raising the money was not pseudo anything, but quite real.

The need for a physical barrier was apparent long ago when Democrats like Kerry and Hillary voted for it.

So apparent that millions of private money were raised to help fund wall construction.

It is sad that some of this may have been a scam, at least if the Left Wing nuts in the SDNY are credible here (remains to be seen),

Whatever happened to the TRUMP FOUNDATION?

I imagine it has been bought out with the overseas money which flowed, up until Nov 2016, into the Clinton Foundation as part of an effort to lobby her if elected.

From what I understand some judge ordered that Trump had to pay some 2 million dollars in damages to settle claims that Trump's foundation was misusing funds. And that the money had to go to charities in order for the foundation to be dissolved.

Post the legal citation if ya have it handy.

Otherwise, I'll have to do the usual Internet thing of pretending it doesn't exist.

However, there was that one time when Trump in a rare moment of candor said that republicans would never win an election again if everybody had voted.
