When Nixon intitated a program to address drug abuse..the media immediately started calling
it the "war on drugs".
and accused Nixon of using the "war on drugs" to criminalize and disrupt black and hippie communities and their leaders.[

Supreme Court justices say many things -- some wise, some foolish.
If Snake is trying to make the point that DHS shouldn't have been set up as it was, I would agree.
But it was.
As to local police power, Democrats in charge have decided to help criminals looting and burning by letting them commit crimes in Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Baltimore, etc.

no john, not helping looters of burners, (not burning man burners). trying to calm things down after ANOTHER bad cop committed murder. not cool and the world is sick of it. and you should be too. it goes against law and order which you clowns appear to be ok with when facial hair red beanie boys take over and threaten federal buildings and officials in michigan. lets see tip over trash cans and return chemical canisters, bring long guns and ak47 . paint balls or aks. hum? which threat appears on the security triage scale?

Sure, you have to think about security triage.
But Portland had over 50 straight days of rioting, looting, and burning.
Federal law says federal buildings can be protected.
What sort of a lunatic thinks federal buildings should be burned by some juvenile moron with a racist "BLM" sign?

What kind of lunatic utilizes federal agents as a private police force in order to conduct a "law and order" election campaign utilizing taxpayer dollars to gas moms and whisk away graffiti artists?

From what I remember, ARMED right wing protestors went in and took over a government building.
And Obama didn't send in his shock troops to take back the government building to stage a photo op in order to gain some political points as the "law and order" president.
No....federal agents waited them out and they were arrested peacefully without having to resort to teargassing and flash bang grenading the morons and criminals.............
