If a president can take the role of the Congress and just write laws, and if what Obama did on DACA is an example, then Trump can simply ignore the Congress and write his own, new immigration law.

But he can't.

Neither could Obama.

So write your Congressman, johnny. Get a law passed to settle the issue.

And start threads about all the bullshit Trump has done by executive order that he doesn't have authority to do, you partisan hypocrite.

But for now, Trump can't exile a bunch of kids who didn't do anything wrong and played by the rules.

My Member of Congress is a leftist dolt.

He isn't as outspoken as Clownslacker, but bows down when Queen Nancy speaks.

Write to your Congressman anyway. This is a bi-partisan issue. Both parties want it settled.

It may not be settled exactly the way you might wish, but it would be settled.

And that would be one less thing we would have to listen to you hypocritically whine about here.

I would also like to see this settled.

In the case of a kid, I can see them being powerless.

In the case of some of the people, including those who have become doctors courtesy of affirmative action, then they should themselves have taken steps to become legal.

Should the legal immigration process be shorter and better? Yes.

But it is clear that Democrats like illegal immigrants because most of them are voting (illegals can and do vote) or will vote Dem as first generation immigrants tend to do.

My point is that it becomes difficult to move past cynicism and get this problem solved.

The house has a bill but McConnnell is not going to bring it up for a vote in the senate.
