He continues to insist affirmative action is reverse racism based on skin tone. (Which term "skin tone" alone demonstrates a gross ignorance of "racism" to begin with. He even believes the makeup someone wears is their "skin tone" suggesting that all I need to do to suffer racism from whites is to put on green or red or orange or blue makeup.)

The proof that johnforbes doesn't understand what affirmative action is is the fact that he repeatedly insists that the tens of millions of white women benefiting from affirmative action over the past 40 years are experiencing reverse racism based on their skin tone.

Since a huge number of those white women have lighter "skin tone" than johnforbes has, we can see that his definition of affirmative action as "reverse racism based on skin tone" is simply the ignorant sour grapes of an oblivious privileged white male.
And how he insists white women in this country have been the victims of some sort of racism based on their skin tone for the past four centuries is too stupid to even consider. Even johnforbes won't come out and say something so patently idiotic. That's how stupid his argument against affirmative action is -- he won't use his own argument to argue against it.

Affirmative action is an attempt to partially rectify centuries of systemic injustice against various demographic groups in America.
It has nothing whatsoever to do with "skin tone" as we can see since millions of African Americans and 'white' women have lighter skin tone that millions of 'white' men. White men with ruddy complexions or deep suntans don't suffer racism from whites in America.

johnforbes continues to characterize social justice as being merely one of "two wrongs" when it isn't wrong. Social justice is never wrong. And a refusal to address social injustice (as johnforbes is here arguing America should do from now on) leads to the very sort of social unrest and even social upheaval that we see on the news every single day for the past few weeks.

Like ethnicity, gender is an accident of birth -- not something earned.

The intellectual flaw in racism is that it assesses merit based not on ideas or performance, but on genetic accidents.

And, of course, the main goal of affirmative action was to institute a new benign pattern of racism to help blacks.

The problem is that any program which uses skin tone to judge merit is racist, and affirmative action is racist.
