Who would have known all it took was a few riots for all liberal leaders to declare it's every citizen's right to gather and protest and in fact said it's a good thing to fight injustices.

My local Church announced that since it's OK to gather in the name of protests, the Church will reopen next weekend in violation of our Governor's orders and there will be a five minute discussion of citizen's rights to gather before the rest of the program starts. We expect a YUGE turnout! Watch for it on the National news, the Church is daring the Governor to raid a Church gathering as a form of protests, while allowing gatherings to protest police and evolve into riots.

No governor ever had the power to tell citizens not to gather to express grievances or worship.

Saying "somebody might get sick" is NOT in the Constitution, and these power-drunk governors will have to wake up.

johnny, the governors have sited the state statutes that gave them the power.

You simply choose to ignore them.


(Don't conveniently forget the Tenth Amendment all of a sudden.)

The Tenth Amendment gives states the power to make laws as long as they don't conflict with Federal laws...
States that were forcing citizens, not to assemble or worship may have violated the First Amendment...

Of course they didn't, silly.

But feel free to sue your home state and try to take it to the U.S. Supreme Court.

See how far that gets you.

The rioters have proven you wrong clown. They have totally ignored the ban on gatherings and one rioter across the country has been arrested for ignoring that ban. In fact liberal leaders are applauding the protesters who are ignoring the bans. Other people are saying if police protesters and rioters are allowed to ignore the ban, so am I.
