USC study out April 21 revealed antibodies in 2.8 percent to 5.6 percent of LA County, translating to 221,000 to 442,000 people.

Great news because this means the virus is readily transmitted with many, many more people having antibodies, but the mortality rate is likely much, much lower than previously thought.

Why are you wasting time and space starting a thread about this, johnny? You aren't a doctor or a scientific researcher, or even someone who knows how to read medical studies.

This sort of factoid should be relegated to being a comment on one of the many other ignorant and dimwitted coronavirus threads you and RealTool have started.

Or are you saying you actually want our well-informed opinions on this topic?

It is part of good citizenship to seek the truth, and the science seems to suggest that the actual mortality rate of this might be even LESS than normal flu.

You heard it here first, folks, johnforbes considers it a matter of "good citizenship" that I offer my opinions and that he listens to those opinions, even on matters of science and medicine.

Thank you for your high regard for my thoughts, johnny. Since you have years of experience reading them, one can only conclude that you must value them highly since you continue to solicit them after all this time.

It is good citizenship for Clownslacker to follow the news and put forward his opinions.

He is attempting to be a good citizen in that respect.

Sadly, the fact that Clown is a deranged leftist undercuts his effort.

Johnnie posted about a million fucking times how people on the board were not qualified to discuss global warming because they were not climatologists.

Now Johnnie right out of the fucking blue goes out and gives his scientific opinion about something he has no formal education or experience in?

The hypocrisy is so stupid it's comical.

No, a child could follow.

If a bigger pool of people were infected but asymptomatic, that drives down the mortality rate.

More people with it, so x number dead means the disease is much, much less lethal.

Come on, Clown, you can understand that without having a M.D.

EXACTLY, and now he's saying it is my duty as a citizen to follow the news about climate change and put forward my opinions on it. (Which I do, incidentally, and he regularly criticizes me for it.)

Go figger.

How can anyone be expected to keep up with johnny's ever-changing lies? It's like he's been taking a 3-year tutorial from Trump. "How to live your life with an utter lack of integrity."

No, my position is easy to comprehend, even for a person with limited intellect such as Clown.

Clown is displaying good citizenship by being interested in issues, including climate.

That doesn't mean others end up with the same opinions.
