House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff explained today "The case as it is, is overwhelming, [and] that there is really no need for any new information for the United States Senate to come to the conclusion that the president is an existential threat to the country, and committed the offenses he was impeached for."

So, if there is no need for any further info, why have Dems been calling for added testimony from their select folks.
But not, of course, for testimony from the Bidens, from Ciaramella (who worked for Brennan and Biden and probably cooked up this entire nonsense), from Vindman who was apparently spying on Trump while on active duty (chairborne), or Sondland, or the irrelevant Yovanovitch who was fired before theUkraine call...

johnny, the need is for testimony from firsthand witnesses because dishonest partisan fuckwads like you are refusing to even stay awake or stay in the room while the evidence is being given. Maybe some partisan Republicans testifying to Trump's crimes will get your attention.

Everyone knows the whistle blower is a second hand source. No one ever pretended he wasn't.
And everyone also knows that everything he blew the whistle on is true. None of it was made up. If it was, then Trump would have proven it was made up. Instead, a number of witnesses verified the truth of the allegations before the House committees.
Funniest of all, Trump admitted to making the call just as the whistle blower had reported, and even a partisan scumbag like you knows it.

More of a reason for him to testify. He needs to name who told him what and how it came about being reported so those with first hand knowledge can be identified and interviewed. After all it's the foundation for the whole investigation. It's very, very possible the whole thing was a conspiracy by high level public officials to try and damage the President before the 2020 election. If that's the case why wouldn't we want to know?

It isn't possible at all. Trump admitted he made the phone call he was accused of making. No "conspiracy by high level officials" made Trump make that phone call and ask for help with his political campaign at the cost of U.S. security.
Trump did it on his own.
Now, if you actually want first hand witnesses as you pretend, then tell McConnell you want to hear from Bolton and Mulvaney, et al.. They actually KNOW what happened from direct knowledge.
But being a dishonest lying partisan scumbag, you won't ask for the testimony of those who know. And why?
Because you don't WANT to know, just as the entire traitorous Republican Party doesn't want to know.

Actually, the intel "community" IG must have been part of this leftist plot against Trump.
The day BEFORE, the IG changed the whistleblower form to allow mere gossip and no longer require firsthand knowledge.

In two hours, Trump's defense team totally dismantled and exposed the 24 hours of lies told by Schiff and his crew. They should just call for a vote on Monday and be done with it.

But there were no lies told. If there had been, FOXnews would have been all over it and debunked any lie.

That's easy.
Schiff claimed for two years that Mueller had clear evidence of Trump's Russia collusion.
He had none because Schiff just lied.
Schiff said there was clear evidence of a problem with the Ukraine call, but the transcript revealed nothing whatever wrong and all the witnesses had no personal knowledge of the call.
Only Vindman was on the call, and he was apparently spying on Trump while on active duty.

The damage of Bolton's testimony to Trump is greater than the upside of Biden's testimony. If it were the opposite, then the republicans sure would have allowed for witnesses. You know it and I know it.

If Bolton could help Trump he would have testified by this point, the documents would have been released, and they would be playing that shit over and over and over again 24 7 on the Fox News Network.
Rand Paul was seeking to get the whistleblower to testify....if the whistleblower turned out to be Bolton I guarantee Trump would still block him from testifying.............

17 witnesses have already testified under oath and 28 thousand pages of documents seized and reviewed. Schiff ON DAY ONE of the trial said that, that evidence was all that was needed to prove the impeachment charges beyond a responsible doubt and no new information was needed to prove he was guilty.

I told you guys on day one, Schiff fucked up when he declared he had all the evidence needed to convict Trump before the trial even started. Now Trump's team is saying OK, we've heard that evidence now lets vote.
