Talk about pucker factor in the FBI and DOJ, that means depositions under oath which is the last thing they wanted. Trump applauds Flynn's move.

Don't get your hopes up to much, Justme. It's doubtful that the judge will allow Flynn to change his plea since he agreed to cooperate and then went back on his bargain. It has also been reported that he gave misleading information in another investigation. I think that, after the judge's comments at his presentancing hearing he is trying to endear himself to Trump and get his pardon.

BTW: Trump might want to rethink issuing pardons. If Flynn (or others) get pardoned they lose their right to keep silent about the issue that he was pardoned for. If he lies about the issue or misleads prosecutors he goes to jail anyway.

Wrong country, we're not allowed to torture people who don't want to answer questions. Plus you're assuming Flynn has negative information on Trump, which he has already said he doesn't, hell they couldn't even bribe him with a get out of jail free card to provide negative information...because there is none.

The problem is that it was all a pack of lies.

You had Comey laughing at setting up Flynn, and the two agents said they didn't think he lied to them, and one of the FISA judges was a recent Obama appointee who surely knew that the dossier was fake and paid for by Hillary and that it was just a tad out of the usual to wiretap a presidential candidate.

The procedures did NOT fail. They worked very well for partisan weasels who wished to wiretap Trump's campaign.

And did.

Wrong Justme. When you accept a pardon you admit that you are guilty and you could be compelled to testify truthfully about your crimes and anything you might know about other crimes as you are no longer under jeopardy. . refusal to testify or lying or misleading prosecutors will lead to serious jail time.

Under the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution, Americans are protected against self-incrimination, but people who have been pardoned are no longer under any legal jeopardy, Harvard Law School Professor Laurence Tribe told TIME.

Snake, I realize you've never been to law school, but you simply can't cite Larry Tribe -- a Left Wing nut for decades -- on such matters.

A true liberal -- even a liberal from the 1960s -- would be disgusted at Flynn's treatment, with Comey chortling with glee at getting him to meet with two agents without a lawyer, and essentially celebrating a frameup of a general.

Now I agree with critics that Flynn was too aggressive in pursuing some of these matters a bit early, but Flynn was not a lawyer either and got too far over his ski tips.

But no genuine liberal would want a retired general, or anybody, framed for something they didn't do and then have him plead guilty merely to stop his son from being financially ruined too.

That is government out of control, and real liberals would hate that.

johnforbes claims to have been to law school but can't dispute any legal point made by snakeoil OR Tribe for that matter.

All he can do is try to smear the man because he can't disprove or dispute the legal points made.

Clown, I've offered for years to show you my precise credentials, but you keep on declining.

That aside, I couldn't care less whether some young leftist like Snake believes I've been to law school or not.

I have, and he hasn't and Larry Tribe remains a leftist nut as he was long ago.

Only if it's a condition of the pardon and I doubt Trump will make a condition of his pardon.

If Clown and Snake were true liberals, they would be disgusted at the spectacle of any citizen being bankrupted by such pursuit.

Flynn accepted a guilty plea ONLY to save his son from being hounded into bankruptcy too.

No true liberal would be happy at government railroading its own good citizens into debt like that, and trying to force false guilty pleas.

I'm no particular fan of Flynn's, but his treatment as a retired general was disgusting, and real Democrats used to oppose such abusive treatment by the FBI and DoJ when liberal icons such as Martin Luther King received it.

So Flynn is being sentenced to 6 months because he stopped
cooperating..??
If I'm not mistaken, Flynn made that deal with Mueller..
Mueller has since closed his investigation and gone home... :O
