Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez asked how Trump can just ignore their subpoenas, on Tuesday she demanded the White House respond to her questions. Today during a press briefing White House Press Secretary Sara Sanders was asked if the White House had responded or would be responding to Cortez's demands and she had a one word response "No" next question.

Almost every president, from the start of this country, has had to deal with overly broad subpoenas.

This is not even a partisan issue.

Dems are surely seeking to distract from the main issue, which is whether Obama officials abused FISA to wiretap and spy on Trump.

As to what Dems are trying to do to Barr, the Dems are clearly trying to obstruct justice.

Congress is given powers of investigation when it's needed for them to make legislative decisions. They are not given those powers to conduct criminal investigations , or any investigation that have no legislative merit.

For a Congressional subpoena to be valid, it must contain the legislative matter the subpoena is attempting to resolve, none of the subpoenas issued by the House have that required element, thus the reason the White House kicked them back to House. The reason given of Congressional oversight is not sufficient, the House was asked Congressional oversight of what legislation, with no response. Oversight of possible criminal acts is the responsibility of the DOJ, not Congress.

I really hope that Donald can get in some cheating at the driving range this weekend, the overblown gasbag deserves a break after a grueling week spent forgetting how tariffs work, forgetting that everyone warned him about Flynn and forgetting that presidents aren't supposed to be stupid fucking morons.
