Global Warming Threads on Hiatus Due to Cold

The forum has announced that all global warming threads have been halted until this brutally cold weather ends.

In Europe, at least 26 people have been killed in the last month as winter storms continue to dump snow on Europe.

Last week, heavy snow triggered several avalanches, and now Western Europe braces for a cold front that could bring as much as half a foot of snow in some areas.

The Eiffel Tower shut down to tourists on Tuesday as Paris received a coating of snow.

France's national weather agency, issued an alert for much of the country for dangerous levels of snow and ice, AP reported. The agency urged people to limit travel.

Severe Weather Europe reported that the system hit the British Isles and Ireland early Tuesday. Precipitation changed from rain to snow across parts of Ireland, Wales, England and Scotland. Snow was also reported in The Netherlands on Tuesday.

johnny, in my backyard we are having the warmest January ever on record.

You really need to learn what the term "global" means.

Seriously. It seems to go right over your minuscule head.

«Глобального потепления» не существует.
that is all youve got?? all you can do is to pick on words? what do you think Global Warming means in your opinion? If you think its not a global warming, then answer my question; what in your opinion term Global Warming means?

Sorry, but the Chief Meteorologist for this forum has advised me that all global warming threads have been placed on hiatus due to the cold weather.

But this ISN'T a global warming thread, johnny.

It's a "weather in my own backyard" thread. You can't even understand the word "global".

It is very large -- not the typical "back yard," long distance views.

That aside, it is too cold for me to type much given the risk of frostbite.

Clown you really have to get your news from somewhere besides CNN. Wednesday, NYC had a high of 39 and low of 26. This is their forcast for the next 10 days. You claim is just as fake as Trump having stopped all travel by Congress during the shut down.

As to your "backyard weather" while johnforbes is isolating Western Europe as evidence of no global warming, he ignores the other side of the GLOBE experiencing some really horrific weather.

Nope, nothing to see here, johnny. WHAT global warming? (GLOBAL, johnny, GLOBAL)

No, Tool, I posted that, not the guy who said it was 60 in NYC.

Also, I wasn't the one who claimed it was hot in Australia. The BBC said it is hot in Australia, dimwit, as the link I provided shows anyone who can read.

You really need to learn to read English. You have no excuses any longer for your gross ignorance. ESL classes are in practically every city.

So? It's minus 58 F in Oymyakon, Russia. What's your point?

My point is you were lying (again) when you made up some stupid shit about me.

The point is, it's pointless for clueless conservatives (like you and johnforbes) to start idiotic threads like this to talk about the weather only in this or that place without simultaneously looking at weather globally.

New extremes of localized cold weather are predicted by global warming models and are perfectly consistent with global warming theory.

Local weather proves nothing by itself, particularly local weather on this or that date.

Average yearly global temperatures is what matters, and they are going up.

If johnforbes could read a thermometer, he would know this.

So why the pretense that NYC is 60 degrees (which is a lie) as proof of global warming?

Clownslacker is mistaken.

My back yard is not western Europe (even though I did live there for years in the past)

"So why the pretense that NYC is 60 degrees (which is a lie) as proof of global warming?"-RealTool

First of all, it wasn't a pretense given as proof of global warming. You need to understand how English works to understand that, which limits you a lot presently.

But secondly, why ask me ANYTHING about what someone else posted? You need to ask THEM why they posted it.

I already told you why I posted what I posted. And you couldn't refute any of it, as always. Instead you desperately try to distract from what you can't refute.

That's a lot of double talk saying absolutely nothing.

"The fact is, man can't control the climate, even if we tried.

See how easy it was for me to get a bullet proof stance across in just 12 words?

Whoever said that man was attempting to control the climate?

That's just your made up nonsensical shit.

Wednesday, it will be 7 below zero here.

Thus, the global warming thread has been held in abeyance due to cold weather.
