Pelosi: No wall funding, even if that means ‘government closed forever’

On Thursday, House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., indicated to reporters that she would rather keep the government shut down indefinitely than send a bill to President Trump’s desk that funds a border wall.

Asked why President Trump would sign a Democratic bill that doesn’t include wall funding, Pelosi replied, “Does he want to have government closed forever?”

The border agent was trying to explain that they don't want a wall and if they get it, it won't stop anyone anyway.

Walls work really well.

They channel and guide human behavior, allowing more resources to be devoted to halting tunnels or ladders.

Walls are not foolproof, they are a deterrent.

Since barriers may be effective in deterring intruders from trespassing on someone's property, John presumes that this will extrapolate to barriers built in the middle of the desert.

Will the "barriers" proposed by Trump which will be built in the middle of the desert be effective? Who knows? That's how come nobody bothered to construct them in the middle of no where to begin with in the first place. Because the cost to build and maintain the structure was not worth the benefit....
