He wan an anti-Trumper who fabricated stories trying to make conservatives look bad, thus he was telling his readers what they wanted to hear...so the editors didn't care if it was true or not. One of their own reporters outed the anti-Trumper and had a list of his fabrications, the paper was as guilty of fake news as the anti-Trumper.

Now Acosta may argue he is not a fake journalist..
