When does/did the 90 day membership extension begin?

Does anyone know the answer to this? Maybe I missed the announcement. I haven't seen anything definitive about when the 90 day membership actually begins or did it already begin with the restored backup and the ability to log in to the static site? Will the clock start when there is some actual new content?
