Devolution of the Archives aka FunBags

Hey Kiki,
I know you folks are very busy. So here is one more thing to check on. FunBags has reverted back to a previous incarnation of itself. This version is about as user-friendly and efficient as jacking-off with sand paper. No search parameters, no thumbnails, not even dates. Just pick a month out of the year and good luck finding something you like. "Oh you like that video of Katia? you want to see more? LOL well pick another month and start searching contri by contri, maybe you'll get lucky!"
Any chance of getting back to the version we had before the meltdown?
Otherwise, thanks for all your help and info, so glad we're back up.

LXIX,
Unless she is doing a ferocious amount of new filming, Katia appears to have posted her entire back catalog of videos on the other site, day by day, and even won a first prize by it. A savvier strategy than ours, I'm sure....
The serious answer to your question is that the archive, like everything else, is restored from a backup, and the archive backup seems to be pretty old (there's no 2011 content). Igor has said he has no intention of resurrecting the archive, so this may be the best that can be hoped for on that front. But if these VW folks can actually bring the site back to life, they might eventually be prevailed upon to rebuild the functionality of the archive. It can never have generated all that much revenue (try running the comparative Alexa "reach" graphs at max timescale on funbags.com, homeclips.com, and redclouds.com) -- probably just a pet project of Igor's. On the other hand, I suppose it doesn't require much contributor maintenance either.

To add a little bit more to this: While this is what we could recover,
we will be reconstructing the look and feel of FunBags as soon as we can...so basically yes, things will get better looking there and more user friendly!

That's good to hear. The archive is my favorite hangout and I really like the search functionality.
By the way Kiki, that avatar is awesome. Is that the actual you?

 Berty has an enourmous archive of VW. Perhaps you could reach out to him? There are few people as devoted to VW as he is.
I could see Berty's best as a feature as well...... Anyone who has followed the COFF town hall over the years knows the best of discussions......
Just an idle thought......
