National Enquirer boss and longtime Trump friend David Pecker gets federal immunity in Michael Cohen case

AMI chairman David Pecker gave prosecutors information about President Donald Trump's knowledge of payments his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen made to women alleging affairs with Trump.

Pecker, along with both his company and the Trump Organization, had reportedly been subpoenaed by federal investigators in April.

Cohen pleaded guilty Tuesday to eight criminal charges including tax fraud and campaign finance violations, and could face years in prison.

All Democrats get immunity under the Obama DoJ, which continues under Rosenstein.

Believe it or not, everyone in the government is not a Democrat or closet Democrat. That idiotic excuse doesn't fly.

If you actually believed Trump was innocent of all wrongdoing, then you might have an argument. But you don't believe that. You know Trump has committed crimes that should be prosecuted, but for some reason you want him to be immune from the law.

Every administration is selective in their prosecutions if only for the fact that they have limited resources at their disposal. They can't and don't prosecute every crime they are aware of.
If bank fraud and tax evasion and criminal campaign violations are the things finally being prosecuted under Trump, then so be it. They need to be prosecuted SOMETIME or the law means nothing.

You shouldn't be immune to prosecution just because you happen to be an asshole nobody likes.

johnny, Pecker is not "a tabloid". He is a human being who runs a media company. He's a human being who can go to jail if he lies.

And the evidence he has is not "a tabloid" either. It's documents showing how much money was spent for what purpose and who knew about it and when they knew about it.

Now if you want to prosecute Pecker for fabricating evidence, that's up to Republicans and how much money they want to waste. It's well known by everyone that the Enquirer has a "catch and kill" practice and that such documents are preserved.

I will tend to believe the documents Pecker offers. There is no percentage in him committing fraud or lying now.

On a more serious note I bet there are a stack of documents that details Trump’s decades-long crime spree which is sitting neatly in a safe that has been opened for Mr. Mueller.
