World paying for failing to prepare for climate changes

Fires and droughts in several countries and they're less prepared for it than ever. Everyone knew the climate was taking it's natural course and changing but instead of preparing for it, governments did just the opposite. They blamed man and did nothing except cut back on the abilities to survive the changes. Power plants were closed, huge amounts of money was diverted to alternative energy "feel good " causes because they thought they could stop natures' course. Imagine if those untold 100's of billions would have been spent on preparing. IDIOTS!!!

California spent more than all other States combined on trying to change the climate, now they're suffering for not preparing for those changes.

The whole way the Left Wing has handled this has been awful.
Letting some non-scientist like Al Gore get involved...

The whole way the Right Wing has handled this has been awful.
Letting some non-scientist like Al Gore's involvement be used as an excuse for them to ignore the overwhelming scientific consensus.

Through history, the scientific consensus has very often been totally wrong.
That is the problem with all the folks who "reason" that way.

Through history, non-scientists have always been irrelevant to actual science. So ignoring science because you don't like some non-scientist is just stupid...i.e. conservative. Just as ignoring science because occasionally a mistake is made is just stupid.
That is the problem with all the folks who "reason" that way.

Bottom line clown, California got it wrong, they spent $100's of billions trying to "change" the climate by chasing unicorn farts instead of preparing for nature's changes. They are now paying the price.

S100's of billions
Yep, that's how much California has wasted trying to change the climate. They spent $80 billion on wind power alone.

Today, the greatest threat of extinction we face is not asteroids or climate change or disease or famine. It’s society’s refusal to heed the warnings of scientists.

Tool, here's the California budget.
http://www.ebudget.ca.gov/budget/2018-1 ... dgetDetail
Please direct us to the portion where California spends 10 to 20 billion on climate change this year.
After all, if they spent at least $200 billion dollars on it, as you claim, they would have to spend at least 10 to 20 billion each year to arrive at your number over the past 15 to 20 years. :o
Good luck, Tool.

The problem with listening to Tyson on science is just like listening to Krugman on econ.
Both of them are so intensely partisan that it is impossible to know where their training ends and their ideology begins.
For example, I don't have a PhD in economics or a Nobel Prize, but I was absolutely correct about Trump being good for stock markets and Krugman was totally wrong.
Also, it didn't take Krugman's training for me to realize that Trump would stress manufacturing and defense, so I kept that in mind in stock positions.
