johnny, this has nothing to do with the Russian meddling investigation or Mueller. Why bring up the Special Counsel now?

If Trump didn't want to be deposed, he shouldn't have defamed Zervos. It's as simple as that.

In America, no one is above the law. You can't just freely destroy someone's name or reputation because you are President.

Well, the Repubs have wanted a second special counsel, and I'd prefer none.

Look at "justice" with tens of thousands of trained investigators and so then the conclusion is that none of them are neutral and we must await the IG (who isn't neutral either and has no prosecution powers).

The problem with any president is that fame, money, and power lure litigation.

For the Democrats, they suffered a shocking loss in 2016 and erupted in wild fury since then, with no plan other than destroying Trump.

In the real world where people go to work, nobody cares about Monica Lewinsky or Summer Zervos or the truth or lack of truth of their claims.

The judge knows that a deposition can be of great benefit to the defendant as well...

And the President does not have to go any court...the deposition can be in written form... :o
