Adjusting to Market Conditions

Pursuant to discussions with Clownhicker regarding the stock market, I implemented some of my plans this afternoon.

I took a large cardboard box out of the garage, lined it with R19 insulation, put down my ground cloth and sleeping pad, then unrolled my zero degree down sleeping bag.

I also got out two of my 200-weight Polartec vests, which I plan to wear to the free lunch Wednesday at the Salvation Army.

Tomorrow at dawn, I will begin selling apples and begging as my backup plan for a weakness of stock prices.

Not sure yet.

My teardrops have blurred my eyes to such an extent I cannot read it.

On the plus side, my cardboard box has been waterproofed with Scotchguard spray and the freezing rain makes quite a soothing sound on it.

Monday massacre: Gold price rises as stocks crater. Gold has gained $90 an ounce since mid-December as large-scale speculators increase their exposure to gold on derivatives markets for the seventh week in a row. Hedge funds have more than doubled net long positions – bets that gold will be more expensive in future – to the equivalent of 21.4m ounces.
Damn I'm good!

What I've found, living in a cardboard box, is that you don't need a TV.

My box looks out on the bird feeder, so watching the chickadees, cardinals, blue jays, snowbirds, red-bellied woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, and doves is very entertaining.

I hear that Trump wants to shut down the Dow and Hannity found a way to blame Obama for market volatility.

Although I don't get TV now, I did splice into Clownslacker's coaxial cable so I now get Internet.

Markets were going up and down -- or sideways -- long before Alinsky's best student, Barry O, did his first race-baiting.

The DOW's up over 500 today and has the media in melt down mode, claiming it'll go back down, it'll go back down. They were giddy yesterday when it was down, all because they felt it hurt Trump.

Yep, the crooked media never mentioned the market's remarkable rise since November 9, 2016.

But naturally sought to blame any downturn on Trump.

Trump was boasting and bragging how he propelled the Dow Jones through 25K on the way up.

....but not on the way down!

LMFAO!

Did Trump ever contend the rise was due solely to him?

No.

Remember, it was egotist Barry who constantly said "I."

Trump noted the good stock market, but I agree he shouldn't have because the Left ignored the good economic news but was waiting to attack him the first time the market dropped (which it inevitably would).

It went almost 600 points today, how is that going down?

It was a pleasant night in the cardboard box, and this morning the snow is falling steadily.

Because snowbirds prefer groundfeeding, I may have to put out a line of seed on the ground and let other birds gain access to the feeder.

Of course, if the stock market were to fall again, I might have to eat the bird seed myself.
