This is a large experiment being conducted by a major University’s
anthropology department. Delving into the mental processes
that allowed humans to become Humans. Mainly, it is following
the tendencies of “Followers” to stay the course, even when
logic should make them go in another direction. By making promises
and changing spokespersons, it seems men and women will
consistently and continuously maintain hope that the path
they have chosen to follow is the correct one. Now, it may be
that this collection of “perverts” are more likely to do this then
the general public, but it is an interesting observation
to say the least, that hope is still being maintained.
Hopefully, RC will continue to operate ( return to normal) after the conclusion
of this “experiment”. I would expect many a Doctorial Thesis to cum out of this
work. Thanks to Kath, Kiki, and the Ghost, most are still following.

I think your analysis might be a bit skewed.
It is my understanding that the members and contributors that were an integral part of the community are not worshiping specters, spirits or anything else that
must be taken on faith. Some (most?) regular contributors feel betrayed, and have since moved on, or shut down and only rarely ,with extreme caution, express their opinions and concerns. Some lurking members excepted the $20 loss and are doing other things for now. Than there are members that get entertainment value from this fiasco, and stick around to see what will happen next. I think VW was a community, but it never was a cult.

Lets face it. Porn can be found everywhere. But how many of us would have the opportunity to be a part of an internet drama we see in this situation? Ok, so the script is bad, and amateur
But have you never watched a bad movie just to see how bad it really can get? Never criticized bad actors, but still watched for the entertainment of a total fail?

This is no experiment and it is very unfair to say that the community members here are "followers" as you put it. They are the people who have made this site what it is for 15 years. There are issues and a ton of problems right now, I agree with this, but you don't go and leave your spouse of 15 years just because she or he gets sick for a month or so. Things are obviously getting better and beginning to work properly on the site, so there is nobody stringing anyone along. I get the frustrations you have about Kath leaving and how she left things, but Ghost is still doing his best and your "Kitty" will have to fight me for this spot, as I have no intentions of leaving this community as long as you all are happy with what I do.

Ghost's? reply was just another example of the contempt these people have for the contributors and paying members that are the base of this site.

Superguy you have to remember first and foremost this is their job. Yeah its a wonderful one I am very envious of, but still a job. Bills need to get paid in order for sites to run . No "traffic" equals no money which obviously leads to no site. In a perfect world everything would be free, but its not perfect by any means. Sh!t happens and there are assholes in this world( believe it or not) who want only to fcuk with the rest of us. Just chill out and enjoy the ride. Think of it as a cross country road trip to Vegas, yeah the ride blows ass but the arrival is gonna be bitchin! !
