Dog I know it sounds crazy but go try a Yeungling and a Sam Adams Oktoberfest. They are both very good American examples of Marzen/Oktoberfest traditionals. I like to enjoy Dopplebocks like an Ayinger Celebrator or an even better Aventinus Weizen Eisbock in the spring time...and traditional Bavarian wheats all summer(Franziskaner, Konig Ludwig Weiss)

Good taste in beer Brandon. I'm hosting an Oktoberfest party tonight since the season ends on the 3rd. Here's a pic with the selection of beers I'll have on hand. Can't handle pils beers, too bitter for my taste.
