NBA Commissioner warns players not to pull NFL bullshit

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver says he expects players to stand for national anthem. The NBA enacted a rule decades ago that requires players to stand for the anthem: “Players, coaches and trainers should remain reasonably still, stand tall in a straight and orderly line, and act in a respectful manner through the period,” “We have a rule that requires our players to stand for the anthem,” Silver said. “It’s been our rule for as long as I’ve been involved with the league, and my expectation is that our players will continue to stand for the anthem. Silver did not say what would happen if players, coaches or trainers refused to stand during the anthem but said if it occurred they would “deal with it” since not standing would not be tolerated.
The comment drew criticism from multiple NFL players, the NAACP as well as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Red line drawn for the NBA. The dude is nipping it in the bud before it gets out of control like is has in the NFL. Silver sees and opportunity to turn the millions of fans who no longer watching the NFL to become NBA fans. Smart man.

The NBA used to be on primetime TV routinely in the D.C. and Baltimore areas.
Today, it takes a playoff rivalry to make that occur.
The NBA has gone from a big sport to a minor niche.
If the NFL kneelers continue with this anti-American stuff, the NFL will go that route too.

Since it is a league rule..
then usually it calls for fines.....fine the player and fine the team... :o

Damage done, they've exposed who they really are, I don't care at this point if the NFL players all sing the national anthem and stand at attention, bye bye, NFL.

I agree....
On another note...
In Puerto Rico, while communications are difficult due to limited cell service after Hurricane Maria, we have been able to reach many employees and are not yet aware of major losses. Our facility experienced some damage and we are waiting for our teams to complete a full assessment in the coming days when safe to do so. Contingency plans have been enacted as to not impact the supply of BACARDÍ rum.
Now this is the "GOOD STORY!" by the way BACARDI donated $3M to disaster relief.....
