I've gone over there and looked around. The site sucks.

What passes for RC allows people to use multi nics, the same people who have been stirring so much shit here.

The cam/chat is exactly the same as it used to be here, with the same limitations.

F&S is screwed up irreparably, with Igor and a few of his idiot multi-nic asshole buddies monopolizing the whole board and wrecking it for anyone else

They even have dickbombs mixed in with the ladies pics on the explicit hardcore pic board. Bring up the overview page to look for the ladies you want to rate and comment on, and there's three dicks staring at you. The whole thing is shit.

Problem is...they have a up-and-running website, which IS gaining new content every day from ex-VWers/RCers. I saw a lot of old familiar names from here posting/chatting over there.

VW, you'd better get something GOOD up fast. You are losing this fight. Every day that passes without a substantially better alternative to what they have thrown up, you lose more people and have less of a chance to get them back.

Agree with what has been said, on all counts. Our loyalty has been here for some years, but a shitty site that is up and running will eventually win out over a great new site that is still on the drawing board almost a month after the crash. And, the shitty site is gaining in content and participation all the time.

I'm a bit confused. You are complaining their site is what RC used to be? Do you expect the new RC to be that much different?

[1] RC used to have multi-nic. You are complaining that VC has it. I questioned your complaint on what RC was, not what it ended up at. Do you know that the new VW/RC will not allow the same? There's nothing on this board to prevent multi-nics. I suspect we will not see any ban on multi-nics until a real problem arises here with its use.

[2] You complain they are using the same cam/chat as RC. Do you expect the new-RC to be vastly different? If so, why? How? in what way?

[3] F&S was always a pit of unregulated postings. It allowed anonymous postings, too. I played on Sam's Place. Again, you are complaining about VC doing exactly what RC used to do.

[4] RC co-mingled M* contri with the gals for years. Only when there was enough of each did the separation occurred, and that was when ProAdult was sent over to the righthand column, and the M* contri followed. Contri from couples, many included dick bombs, were still shown in the left column contri on the last day.

You are still missing the whole point of my OP, which was that VW needs to get something substantially BETTER up, and fast.

PS: If I had wanted to post how VC was just like VW (only worse), and THAT was my big point, I would have posted it on VC.

Didja ever notice that loyal VW folks are the first ones to tune to personal insults? Critics (like me) have taken a few shots Katherine's way, but...she's in PR, and the face of the company. She deserves it. (and she's lied to us, but that's another story)

I see no shortage of quick, personal insults on EITHER "side" of this conflict, though my scans through the threads seem to show that the "angry at VW" side would have the lead in sheer numbers.

FAQ's logic is flawed, not mine. Most of the specific complaints I posted are, even by his own admission, things that VW got rid of long before the blowup.

I see the personal attacks on Katherine, or anyone else associated with VW now, mostly posted by various multinics from VC. True, they have brought a lot of criticism on themselves in handling this as they have, but there are ways to say it without using a "AK-47".

There is a dedicated band of Igor apologists who are responsible for much of the crap we've seen here, and anyone with a lick of sense knows that.

I've been dropping in over there a couple times a week or so to see what they're up to, and have at least twice caught them posting contribs that appeared several months ago on VW/RC and then passing those contribs off as new content. :roll:

That means, at the very least, that not all is on the up and up at VC.

That said, though, VC is also posting new stuff that's pretty hot, :shock: which makes it incumbent on VW to please realize that time is of the essence. The longer VC is posting material and VW isn't, the more customer (and contributor) retention issues there will be when VW does get up and running again.

Yuxxx, I really do not care what you like or dislike about VC. Makes no sense to post on VW the features of iTunes you think ought to be changed, or to complain about the menu items at McDonalds here at VW. None of it has to do with VW. None.

If the point you were trying to make was that VW needs to up its game, great and wonderful - get specific! But the thread topic is not about improving VW, but to complain about VC being like how VW was sometime before June 9th. That makes no sense whatsoever unless you also found the old version of VW was shit, too.

you know I have been a long time lurker on this site for many years. I'm sorry but the VC site is almost a mirror of what VW use to be. Stop trying to run it down and worry about your own site here. All I can say is VC is up and running and doing very well . This site is doing absolutely NOTHING ! TALK IS CHEAP ! Get this site going or close it up....DAMN! !

FAQ, I'm confused. Where's your dog in this fight? Just trying to give me a hard time? Or do YOU have an axe to grind on behalf of VC? I don't understand why you're posting on this thread. I sure hope, after all this, that VW/RC comes back with a superior product, rather than go backwards like VC did.

Forgive me if I didn't post a thread title that met your standard of whatever. But you are splitting hairs. My main point was quite evident if you read my entire post.

I suspect that FAQ's dog in this fight is pretty much the same as mine. We're both allergic to bullshit. And this thread (and this issue) has plenty to go around.

I have a real low tolerance for people whining on the VW BB about other websites. And that includes people supposedly from VW. Also, I have an exceptionally low tolerance for those that do not get their facts straight.

If you want to tout how inferior VC is to VW, go to VC to do it.

If you have specific improvements or features for VW to have when they rollout their new site, stick with what VW was, is, and will be.

A McDonald's Big Mac does not taste better because you think burger King's Whoppers are crappy. A Ford does not drive better because you hate Chevy. A Mac is not elegant because you think Windoze sucks. A Canon does not take great images because you might think Nikons do not. Big Macs, Fords, Macs, Canons are either good, no different, or worse on their own merits. Opinions vary. You liking VW does not affect how others think of VC or even VW.

FAQ, you know I've always had the utmost regard for you, but from what I've observed both here and over at VC, the BB "whining" goes in both directions. At last glance, there were at least three threads over at VC slamming the VW boards. I think some folks like to grab the biggest spoon they can to see just how much s***t they can stir up!!! :lol:

Hey there Jewels. Ask yourself if VW ever needed to care what happened on any other website before? If someone has problems with what is being said on the VC BB, go to the VC BB and complain. The VW BB is best served by sticking to VW.

One month of whining is a bit too much.

FAQ, my point exactly! The spoons are being wielded on both BB's! I've been sitting back in the "Lifeboat" since all of this began, and provided we don't spring a leak, I think I'll just stay put there.
