Sally Yates has given testimony that basically finds her question dodging.
Sally Yates managed to achieve headlines via an open testimony with James Clapper where she espoused more untrue statements than can be calculated without a quantum computer. This is common practice for those opposed to Trump, but even so, these zingers really stand out, to say the least.
To start with, Yates mentions that Obama warned Donald Trump about Flynn. This made headlines and the news sat atop Facebook and Twitter for over a day and yet at no point was it mentioned that the warning had nothing to do with security reasons.
Trump never had a warning of anything tangible and since Flynn called out Obama’s failed leadership, that was all that said.
Park Point observes that Yates claimed to have “boldly confronted the White House with evidence of wrongdoing,” something also called into question by those close to the issue. Obama himself cleared Flynn to retain all security clearances as late as 2016, as a matter of fact. How many worries could he have had?
When asked if more than “circumstantial evidence” existed she dodged the question by saying “my answer to that question would require me to reveal classified information,” in true political fashion.
The innuendo seems baseless since Clapper “testified no evidence of collusion was found.”
Yates was employed, we know, until January 30th when she lost her job for refusing to do it. She says that “she is justified in discussing classified information in the Flynn because it is publicly known.” However, when the same facts are known her, she dodges.
It is also noted that even during the Iran deal, the kind of monitoring that President Trump suffered was never what Obama had to face. This has been a full blown attack on the White House that was conducted to foul up the entire start of his run.
Sadly, this has eliminated a good mind when it comes to dealing with Russia and Putin. There is currently no one one Trump’s team that has the Russian know-how that Flynn had/has.
So, at the end of the day, we have what we always have, which is Democrats making us less safe and our President less productive.
