Harry Reid made the gigantic mistake of using the nuclear option for judges below the Sup Ct, and that is paving the way toward Repubs extending it.

In time, both Dems and Repubs will have regrets if the Dems push things so far that Repubs go ahead this way.

The Dems didn't push the issue because they were 100% sure the next President would be Hillary, especially when they learned it would be Trump she was running against.

The Republicans should know by now playing nice with the Democrats doesn't work, there is no honor among them. Even if the GOP were to give in and not use the nuclear option and even let the Dem's pic the next Justice for Trump, sure as hell when and if the Dem's ever get the majority they won't hesitate one second to use the nuclear option to put in place the Justice they want. Telling the Dems it's not right because we didn't use it will only make them laugh.

The GOP has the opportunity to preserve Constitutional Law for at least the next 20 years by using the nuclear option, installing Gorsuch and then another conservative to replace Ginsburg in the next few months. Ginsburg has failed to show up to the court for the last three weeks after being found unconscious in the chambers changing room. Some close to her fear her cancer has returned. She's 84 years old and can't even find her way to the bathroom, she screwed the Democrats by not retiring a couple of years ago.
