My Daily Rant

I never ceased to be amazed at how the American voter consistently disregards facts and his best interests when he/she steps into the voting booth. I watch as these same people, when they have health problems, seek out the doctor with the most up to date scientific knowledge to cure them. They rush out to buy the latest technology that science has made available and then selectively pick and choose what science they choose to believe politically. They watch in awe at the latest findings by scientists but expect the politicians to ignore science and save them.
When we want goods or services for our own personal use we seek out experts with the knowledge to make that product or service. That product or service is based on science: we know that a pine foundation will not hold up a 20 story building. When building that 20 story building e seek out an architect with the firm foundation in building science to design a structure that is safe and will last for the required life we expect. If that architect ignores building science the structure will fail. I’m sure that all of us have seen videos of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (Galloping Gertie) and we have seen what happens when rules of science is ignored.
The oceans are getting more acidic every year. Oceans are warming globally and are rising measurably. The predicted sea level rise will put many of our major cities at risk and impact many millions of people. Methane, a much more potent greenhouse gas than CO2, has been trapped under the permafrost and ice for millions of years. Now methane levels are rising at the poles and methane levels are rinsing as the permafrost thaws. 100 year storms are now occurring every 10 years. Severe weather is occurring much more often. Droughts are occurring much more frequently. Coral beds, the birthplace of much of life in the oceans, are dying. All of this has been happening with rapid increase since the Industrial Revolution. How can we ignore the science and say that politics will save us?
When mankind inspired actions cause events that are detrimental to the world’s society, wouldn’t it be wise to avoid those same mistakes in the future? Wouldn’t wise men learn from their mistakes? The alchemists of the Middle Ages learned that it was scientifically impossible to turn lead into gold yet we expect our politicians to ignore science and history and make everything right. We choose to ignore history and demand that our politicians put “those people” in their place. We are then shocked when “those people” balk at being put in their place.
it’s time to become educated voters and take that education into the voting booth. The world is a complex place and solutions must be found or we could face another great extinction such as has happened in the past.

Conway is claiming that Trump's microwave ovens were "bugged" with cameras?
So are they claiming Trump was being surveilled while heating up leftovers?
Unbelievable!!!

Far Left Dennis Kucinich was wiretapped in his office in the House of Reps by Barry's DNI.
Barry wiretapped Italy, France, Germany, Japan...who didn't they wiretap?
The reporting now is that one FISA warrant was sought after Trump got nominated, but that the target was Trump personally and that was denied.
It is good that some judge had enough sense to deny the first one, but two warrants were apparently approved in October -- one FISA, one general.
The general was to tap Trump's server and look for pings between 2 Russia banks. They (the FBI?) found nothing and halted this in less than 2 wks.
The reporting on the October FISA is unclear, but this will eventually all come out, won't it?
By now, everybody realizes that these 17 or so intel outfits have been out of control, eh?
Does any Democrat, or any Republican, still trust Comey?

I am worried about our Republic. We are so divided that it is hard to get anything concrete done. Our politicians have hit on the formula to keep the rank and file at each other’s throats so that the minions keep their eyes off of the shady practices of the leading elite. I have read reports that 8 families actually decide the course of our government.
Great civilizations collapse from within. With the citizens divided it is easy for a despot to take over, often with the full support of the populace for a while. Division of the citizenry is easy, just pick a scapegoat and convince the populace that there is the problem. With the focus on the scapegoat no one is watching the government.
Rome was considered unconquerable. Then the increase of the slaves (over 51% of the population of Rome) and the constant wars and expansion of the empire required massive taxation. This divided the citizenry and opened the door for one corrupt leader after another. The Senate and the Cesears engaged in constant intrigues to neutralize each other and the Republic suffered. Eventually everyone was against everyone else and support to solve problems became non-existent which opened the door to Rome’s downfall.
Athens, the cradle of Democracy, medicine, math, etc. fell due to infighting also. In a grab for power, the elite began persecuting the intellectuals, fearful that the intellectuals would rouse the citizens against the elite. The rulers lost sight of their world and were destroyed by stronger and more organized enemies.
France in the 30’s also fell into disarray and the citizens turned on each other. France became an also ran country after a centuries of being a mighty world power.
The Mongols conquered much of the world. Their empire stretched from Mongolia to Central Europe. After the death of their leader a power struggle ensued and the Mongol;s soon lost the gains they had.
I fear the same fate awaits the USA if we don’t find a way to work together. Our infrastructure is crumbling because we can’t find a way to fix it that everyone can agree on. Our health care system is one of the worst in the world even though we have the greatest health care infrastructure in the world. We all know the education is the one thing that can make this country great but the first thing we cut in the budget is education. Our transportation system is third-world at best. America used to be a great sea faring nation, as of February 2016, America had only 78 ships in the world trade maritime fleet. We incarcerate more people in the USA than any other country (693 per 100,000 people) yet our recidivism rate is higher than most other countries.
Unless we can stop being against each other and learn to work together we might wind up competing with the nation of Congo for last place in the world.

I think Trump sees the same thing....and wants to..if not stop, at least slow down the nation's expansion until
as he puts it,"..until we can figure out what's going on.."
But his "enemies" preach that Trump is an isolationist... stirring the country in a dangerous course....

So how do know when "it" has been figured out?
When Trump says so?

silly, conservatives are the ones who seem to think they are relevant, not us.
You clowns are the ones starting all the Obama and Clinton threads. namandgulfdimwit started another one just today.
Even Trump is still using them as an excuse for his incompetence and getting people killed.
You won. Trump's responsible. Now take responsibility for all the shit coming our way. You voted for him.

The left didn't lose the election. Hillary got almost 3 million more votes than Donnie.
Trump is the fakest president this nation has ever had.
That's a fact.

No, it isn't.
In California, about 800,000 illegals were given driving licenses.
That is all you need to vote, and in most cases you don't even need that.
Knowing how to win, Trump didn't even campaign in CA, NY, IL, etc.

Once again johnforbes is here claiming Clinton only won by 2,200,000 votes instead of 3,000,000.
Okay, if you say so, johnny.
You keep sticking your foot in "it".

Conservatives controls the White House, Senate, House and 75% of political positions. Dude, get your head out of your ass and smell the roses, you're not a public school teacher anymore, think for yourself, the left LOST the election.

"Conservatives controls the White House, Senate, House..."-RealTool
THAT'S what Tool calls "control"
Foreign agents on Trump's staff, firings, White House staff who fail FBI background checks, a President who can't vet his own hires, (let alone immigrants) executive order overturned in court, no repeal of Obamacare as promised, a House that can't pass Trump's health care 'plan', (or anything else for that matter) neither Trump nor Ryan wanting their name on the health care plan, everyone distancing themselves from the President, Republican talk of Pence taking over the Presidency, Republicans turning on Ryan, and it goes on and on.
It's getting close to anarchy. We're getting to see close up how incompetent and dysfunctional the Republican Party really is.
Dude, get your head out of your ass and smell the stench.

It would be wrong if even one illegal alien voted, but surely some did.
Nobody knows, but I personally just doubt that was the reason Hillary got more votes in California.
And, when you talk about the popular vote, you are really talking about CA.
Trump never campaigned there, so he could have peeled off some votes, but nobody knows how many.
But you don't play basketball by the rules of golf.
Trump won.
