The President's fictitious claims whether imaginary or fabricated are now worrying even his backers, particularly after he insisted that millions of people voted illegally giving Hillary Clinton her popular vote victory. There’s not one state election official—Democrat or Republican—who supports that claim.

President Donald Trump was confused about the dollar: Was it a strong one that’s good for the economy? Or a weak one?

So he made a call ― except not to any of the business leaders Trump brought into his administration or even to an old friend from his days in real estate. Instead, he called his national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn, according to two sources familiar with Flynn’s accounts of the incident.

Flynn has a long record in counterintelligence but not in macroeconomics. And he told Trump he didn’t know, that it wasn’t his area of expertise, that, perhaps, Trump should ask an economist instead.

Snake the only people that care about that shit are the ones who don't like Trump, the rest of us can care less, he's our hero, he kept Hillary from becoming our President. I will vote for him in the next election for that reason alone.

Like Jimmy Carter, JFK, and FDR, Trump has one undergrad degree.

JFK considered law school but never went. FDR went to law school, but dropped out before graduating.

Presidents with law training, from Lincoln to Ford to Clinton to Obama, were not experts in economics because law school doesn't focus on that.

If you invest in domestic stocks, or multi-nationals, you wrestle all the time with whether a strong or weak dollar will help.

This is a complicated matter with, as the cliche goes, many moving parts.

Any executive, and any president, ought to call on a wide range of advisors on the issue of the implications of dollar strength or weakness.

I often use the old saying, “A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.” At the time of this post there are no members on line so I wonder why so many feel that they must bash others and rabidly defend their political beliefs regardless of the facts. I stumbled on this site and use it for entertainment. In no way do I feel that I will; change anyone’s mind or change the world.

As I’ve often stated, I am a moderate/conservative Republican as I have been all; of my life. I feel that it is my duty as a citizen to question our “leaders.” I refuse to give blind allegiance to any politician. I am against the insane, massive give-aways that our “leaders” keep coming up with. This also includes the give-aways to agriculture and corporations. I didn’t like Obama but McConnell’s tactic of opposing anything Obama came up with, instead of working with him and moderating his proposals, set this country back several years. The GOP controlled the purse strings so they could have brought him around to a more sensible approached to our problems. As an example, we now have an infrastructure that is 8 years worse than it was when Obama took office. Now it is going to cost much more to upgrade our infrastructure.

I worked in the D.C. area for 12 years in construction management and saw many millions of dollars wasted on ideas that didn’t make sense to anyone. On one project even the government engineers knew that it wouldn’t work. I bring this up because too many are attacking the wrong problems. Remember Bernie Madoff? He was turned into the SEC years before everything crashed. Many millions of dollars could have been saved for his investors if the regulators had done their job. This is typical of many of our regulators, if they can’t hold a job in the private sector they get a government job. And the Wall Street boondoggle was well known as a scam but the regulators didn’t do anything about it and look how much that cost us.

Now President Trump has promised to bring back manufacturing to the USA. Rah, Rah. The only problem is that most of the job losses are due to automation and technology. Not too much demand for wagon wheels and buggy whips these days. Today’s jobs and tomorrow’s job require an education. But President Trump appointed a Secretary of Education totally unqualified for the position and who hates public education.

While we’re on the subject of education, corporations are in a tizzy about Trump’s immigration ruling because they depend on immigrants for educated and qualified workers. Ever wonder why we can’t educate our own people so that they are qualified for these jobs? Go on some of the education sites and see the major advances being found by the students from other countries particularly Asian countries. I’m not ready to concede that Asians are smarter than us.

The raid in Yemen was decided over dinner at the White House on a Friday night by Trump, his son-in-law and a General. Little planning, almost a total lack of Intel and little coordination with the military Chiefs-of-Staff. Ask any military veteran who has been in combat how spur of the moment operations usually go. Now a Navy Seal is dead and the mission was less than complete.

I realize that Trump promised to change D.C. but you can’t totally break everything down and start all new. You end up with total chaos. What if General Motors decided to stop making cars today and start making air planes today. Total chaos.

And then there’s our GOP leaders, after 8 years of saying they will end Obamacare and replace it with a better one, we find out they don’t have a plan and we might wind up keeping Obamacare. I find it hard to compliment our current GOP leadership.

I’m going to Germany for 9 days on business the end of this mon. It will be interesring to field the questions from our German partners.

Another frustrating thing is that the GOP is now saying it'll take until autumn, possibly, for the tax cut bill.

Say what?

Pass a damn tax cut bill now, and make it retroactive to January 1st.

Paul Ryan, like Boehner, has thus far been spineless, and Ryan only showed energy in seeking to derail Trump.

Then imagine how many "frustrating" years it will take them to repeal the ACA, johnny.
They could simply dust off any one of 60 previous bills they tried to pass to repeal it and it would sail right through.
Now all of a sudden they can't seem to write bill number 61.
That won't happen until after the 2018 elections.

It's good to see you've already come to terms with the fact that Obamacare is not going to be repealed.

My comment above was based on what I know about Washington.

It is better for any president, of any party, to press his agenda early on against the tremendous inertia which is institutional Washington.

For years now, the economy has been running on fumes furnished by the Fed. Now,at long last, there is the promise of fiscal action, and I'm impatient for Ryan and McConnell to perform.

Democrats in the House and Senate were incapable of anything more than socialism, race-baiting, and open borders, so it would be great if the public could prod Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell into action.

The ex-Attorney General of New Hampshire was just on CNN debunking Trump's claim about illegal voting in his state such as bringing bus loads of people in to vote. He said it never happened and that they have had no issue with people voting illegally. He has been in New Hampshire politics since 1960 and has been an advisor to Presidential Campaigns since 1980. This seems to back up claims that Trump is blowing smoke out of his ass as stated by Daily kOS.

I ashamed that the GOP (my party) felt that this clown was the best that they could come up with. Now they are bending over backwards to try to convince the American people that Trump just needs time to find his footing.

This may be a case where two seemingly contradictory things may be true.

In many states, such as New Mexico and California, there simply is no reason why illegals could not vote.

In California, illegal immigrant voting is actually encouraged by some.

Do I believe that 3 million illegals voted? No, I doubt that that many even know the English word for "voting" or what it means.

Most illegals have no education to speak of even in Mexico or El Salvador. They have no skills, most don't speak English, and they certainly have nothing but contempt for America's law and culture.

I took a minute to look up the biography of Walter Einenkel, who writes (apparently) for the Daily Kos.

He apparently got an undergrad degree from Wesleyan, and wrote books on Tupac and on MTV.

This would suggest Walter is quite young.

Writing books on Tupac and MTV would suggest Walter is -- what is the polite way to put it? -- not a deep thinker.

He sounds like a young liberal, and that's fine if he can make a living scribbling his opinions.

But it doesn't mean he is correct, or has any long experience, or is somebody to be taken any more seriously than the next kid on the street.

There is none.
