Hi everybody. We got back from four days in Scotland last night and have tons of stuff to catch up on here. It's been a great trip so far. We had some spectacular weather on Saturday and some nice weather for a day in Edinburgh. On the coach tour we (Berty, Rita, Beave and I) sat next to three sweet ladies in their 70's and we also sat next to them at the hotel restaurant. Berty nicknamed them.... you guessed it... the Trio of Trouble. Of course nobody will EVER replace the originals. :mrgreen:

We stayed for three nights in Melrose, Scotland in a charming hotel that was built in 1869. The first night there the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night so we were all standing out in the parking lot in whatever we managed to put on. Turned out to be a false alarm... or perhaps somebody smoking in their room. Might have been Berty with one of his stogies! :roll: :roll: :lol: Never did get the true story. But everybody did get a glass of wine at dinner the next night as an apology.

Speaking of stogies, Berty's dad was very pleased to get his supply of "Cheap Bastard" cigars from the states. He hasn't smoked any yet. I think he's hoarding them...not that he needs to do that. He has about 1500 stogies already. :o

One of the most enjoyable sites we've seen so far was the Melrose Abbey. It's in ruins but still beautiful. The heart of Robert the Bruce is buried at the abbey and legend has it that King Arthur is buried in the hills above the village.

Everything is so GREEN!... which is so different than where I live. But there is a reason it's so green. :roll: And as long as you don't mind all the rain... :?

Beave has taken over 1000 pics so far. Me... not so many... like maybe more like 300. We've seen some beautiful scenery and some amazing sites. Everyone is so friendly here... and whenever Beave or I start talking heads start turning. Must be our "funny accent". I still have to constantly say "Huh?" Supposedly they are speaking English but sometimes I wonder. :? :lol: :lol:

Maybe if we get a little free time we can get some pics posted... but | make no guarantees as I don't know how busy we are gonna be. Nice to see you guys starting threads for the ladies. It's always a crap shoot whether they will come over. Now I gotta get over and see Manda's ass flash.

JBE: Glad you had a fabulous vacation. Sounds like all you had was fun. I can't imagine you live where it isn't green. I live in the North and we are really green, everything has bloomed out. Even the snow crab trees, and the choke cherry bushes and now our bushes around the house are flowering.

RETO: The best to tackle Sugar to get pictures put up, is to find someone similar and show the great comments, or just show her the comments here the gals get. That is help boost her confidence.

This is really easy ok? Just right click, save the image to your pictures file. Then open a comment here and go down to the UPLOAD ATTACHMENT tab.
Open it, hit BROWSE, find the pic you JUST SAVED and load it HERE. PREVIEW and SUBMIT. I'll be happy to resize it and repost it right here again for you to copy and then load as your PROPIC Avatar. You cant use a link...just save it and then upload it. This is so easy to do you will be shocked.


Here I'll do one right now: This is just under 800x800 the old propic size

DD - are you still trying to post an Avatar (or propic) or are you trying to post an attachment to reply (like the cartoons posted). There are two different locations. Going to the User Control Panel is for posting an Avatar. The instructions Rock pointed out is for posting an attachment. Options is not an option in posting or uploading an attachment.

DD - I'm still not sure what you are trying to do. The tab "Options" is not located under the 'User Control Panel' but rather under 'Post a Reply'.

Are you trying to put a link in the Avatar upload to another website? I don't think the Avatar works that way. I think the picture has to be on your computer to be able to browser to find it and upload - someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a way to add a link to this reply section but those instructions has to come from someone else, I've yet to do it.

Here you go STEP BY STEP
Assuming you have a pic the right size saved to your hard drive.

Go to the right USER CONTROL PANEL
There are tabs along the top. Go to PROFILE
Now down the left to EDIT AVATAR, open it.
Mid page it says UPLOAD FROM YOUR MACHINE: And to the right BROWSE... click it.
A window opens up, search your hard drive for the image you want click it and open.
NOW look down to SUBMIT, click it.
Your DONE!

Easy!

TO ADD an External link go to the top row over the box you type IN.

Look for URL,

Now before you click URL, open another tab in your browser and go to the page you want to LINK TO. Copy the link from the browser bar, right click copy.

Now BACK IN THIS COMMENT BOX, Click the URL tab and it opens a set of brackets and the curser is blinking right between them. PASTE your URL right there.

Your done. type what you want and submit.

As for not seeing everything, change your screen resolution on your browser by holding down CONTROL, hit the zero to return to normal, hit plus to make the text bigger and minus to make it smaller.

Using links is bad because the original site could move the page or image your linked to and your image is gone.

ANY IMAGE that is savable by RIGHT CLICK and SAVE PICTURE TO: can be save wherever you want to save it.

TO HAVE A PLACE SPECIFIC TO FIND YOUR IMAGES IN, Go to your pictures file make a sub file (RIGHT CLICK, NEW then select FILE) Name that file whatever you want so you can find it.

Now you have a file for your PROPICS. So, save there. And now you have a place to browse in for pictures. Try the auto resizing, it worked for me on the tuxedo pic just fine resizing it down. IF it doesn't then there are ALOT OF FREE PROGRAMS TO RESIZE PICTURES.

NOTE TO Kiki, Can we pick a good resizer and make a link to it inside the Avatar tab so its easy to resize if we cannot get VW to resize automatically?
