Testing to see if I can finally get a post through. I agree with the idea that incremental progress in a few days is better than continued silent delay.

Frankly, I've given up. No regular updates, no restoration of even the most basic free portions of the site have taken place, firm dates have passed with no explanation, and another site has done very well in providing what I described. I simply don't believe anything I see here. One day I'll visit again and see if anything is here, but for now I'm gone. I wish you the best.

Hey Ghost. Can I get any say on these boards?? Every time I have tried to post valid concerns and have my voice heard, I'm banned. Only one of my posts went through, and that one was VERY RUDELY replied to by "Katherine". I have been a contributor to this site for 6 years, and I think I should be treated with a little respect when I have concerns and when I want to have my voice heard. It pisses me off beyond belief to be censored and rudely spoken to by this "Katherine", who I have never heard of before this disaster. Not to mention the ONE EMAIL I got a response to. WOW, what a doozie of a response. I would be happy to share that with you Ghost. Give me an email address to send it to, it's quite shocking...REALLY! I wonder if anyone else there on the VW staff is aware of the types of things she was saying in email??

Seriously, you want a successful site? Start with showing a little respect to the contributors, start with answering valid concerns with sensitivity. I'm almost certain this will never appear, just as all the other posts I attempted to submit...but hey, one last shot.

I still have not received any user name or password to my email account.I see at on the forum that some have. I know you are busy but would like to at least get an estimate on when i should be expecting the user name and password

If this is the same Leadfingers i have personally met him at an RC Meet and Greet and he for sure isn't Igor.

Let me try again, since only about 1/4 of my tries are ever approved (or rejected, thus never considered, I suppose). Being also a dear contributor, I do not think it's very realistic to run the May contests again. Why not rely on the winners lists that were posted nearly a week before the site went down?

And PLEASE release me from this f-ing purgatory, would'ya? I don't know why I was banned and I didn't do anything ban-worthy compared to many others who are not banned. This is how you treat people who (1) provided consistently prize-winning content, (2) have tried to provide constructive advice (and criticism) since day one of this board???

When I google homeclips.com It comes up "The Free ********:Post your sexy girls and your...." and when I click on it the "Welcome to the Free Voyuerweb page appears? Hmmm sure makes one think that something is going on that we aren't being told! What's up with that Ghost?

I have been a "quiet" member for 10 years and the first time I posted an honest assessment of what I have witnessed with the public relations "professional", it was censored.

What this indicates is that you don't know a friend from an enemy.
Every day that this place is down, it loses even more credibility.

I believe that trying to "recover" the entire old site before getting something up and running is/was a grave error. Booby traps or whatever can be dealt with as an ongoing effort. Getting a site up and running is more important at this point.

Continued stated and then missed deadlines do nothing for your credibility as a web content provider. With all respect to Ghost (whoever the fuck he is) this continued whining about how hard getting the entire site up is lame when you could put up a working site now and add to it later.

Ghost,the check for my January win was not cashed.I was called by my bank on June 4th and they said the reason was closed account.I contacted Nicole and she wanted me to send a scan of a check.Is there a way for you to check that the money was not paid without me sending a copy of the check?It seems the bank will not be able to deliver the deposited check

It'sgood to hear [x3] positive, non-snarky site rebuild information. I was a bit surprised, at first, by parts of the end user agreement that prohibited posts (lewd, sexual,etc) but upon a re-read just pertained to this b, not the VW site when reloaded.
I do hope that "this whole thing has been a lesson" to management/owners about segmenting root password and segment management, restricting internal password access and their security plus daily server auto-reports,logins, actions, data files transfers, etc. Yes, this does feel like locking the barn after the cows were stolen, however, most the cows were recovered, but not, and there are more cow theives.

Hope you get actual restart dates or at least a good SWAG to pass along

I have said from the beginning that I understand the position the site is in. I am surprised that VW has not found a professional PR representative yet.

While watching Kate struggle, I offered a simple piece of advice, and she lashed out at me. I composed a reply, but before posting it, I nixed it to wait and see the site come up. I chalked it off to an unsuccessful PR Rep that can't keep her cool.

I will however post it now, hoping Katherine will see it.

At this point, I am hoping VW can follow through with their promise. If the situation continues to decline, I will probably follow Katherine’s instruction for a refund.



With all due respect, we are only 1 day outside of the initial promised date for return. We said 4-7 days on June 10, 2012 and today is June 17, 2012. I hope that you will read some of the posts from people who actually have experience on the technical intricacies involved in returning VW back to you. It is a massive site with hundreds and thousands of pictures and videos, the task alone of retrieving these could take more than a week.

I just recently also posted indicating that I did see the website during our meeting with the technical staff and it is ready to be launched barring some technicality that comes up in the final computer testing phase. This is not something that one can just do half ass. This requires a lot of checks and balances. My recent post also indicated that I believed that the site would be up within this coming back.

As you said, if you would like me to start the refund process for you, I would be more than happy to do so."

I understand that you are in a very difficult position. You have to address some very difficult people, and questions. I have always enjoyed VW and associated sites exclusively, because I consider the site and people to be the best there is. Whatever the outcome, I appreciate VW’s situation and have no intention of moving to VC.

I ask that you read my post again. I really don’t need a response, as it was merely offered as recognition and advice for your current position. I never made any statement that the repairs were taking too long or would not be done at all, nor did I make a request for a refund. I made a metaphorical statement that if the situation continues to decline I might consider it. In actuality, (personally) when it comes back up I wouldn’t pursue it at all. Renewal might be different.

The post was a statement that the community is deteriorating. While VW should be in “damage control”, you seem to go defensive and start name calling, finger pointing, or in a few cases sarcastic. This has been pointed out in quite a few posts throughout the board. Personally, I really don’t have an issue with a refund. Looking forward, a lot of the people you are offending today are the same people that you are going to be asking for money to renew their subscription in the next year.

After reading a lot of the questions, except for some asking about security of information, most seem to address when the site will be back up. People do not process the word “Soon” very well. My point was that people relate to actual times such as, “We hit a snag, and we are looking at June 22nd. “

I sincerely mean this in a constructive way. Your PR skills need some polishing.

If you officially represent VW, then you need to begin rebuilding the credibility of VW by giving us a real date on which something will actually be launched. No smoke and mirror, not BS, but a credible commitment that is met. That needs to be followed by more credible commitments and action and no misses. Right now, VW has no credibility among its former customer base. Big talk and missed promises will gain you nothing. Let the rebuilding begin.

When I read his pissin & moaning posts followed with those idiotic directions, red flags came out waving and flapping. Call me paranoid if you want, but his demands for immediate restoration and specific methodology seemed too facile and could possibly constitute an activation code for a sleeper virus. Likewise. So far, two posts have gone through out of 10-12 tries from this account.

Ghost, can you at least let us know whether you decided on the near-term partial launch or the long-term full launch. I concur with all others here who strongly prefer that you put something up soon. Look at your Alexa figures and you will see that while your daily reach is still about three times that of VC (kind of amazing, given the difference in actual content), you are falling steadily and now have about half of what you had before the crash. That will be gone in another 2-4 weeks.

If you can't keep up with the posts, don't pre-moderate. Just read the boards periodically and delete whatever violates your restrictions.

After all this time and all these posts...and false messages about when the site will be back up and running...
I still have faith that VW and the other sites will return.
And I still believe the cyber sabotage by the departing Igor is to blame.
Remember, he and his pals could have started a new site without crashing VW...

I do not know enough about international law, or internet rules, to know whether these cyber criminals will ever face justice, but I know who to blame, and it is not those trying to get VW, etc., back on line.
We could be wrong, but for the moment, I still think VW will be back.

Ghost sounds like a creditable person and a decent exponent of VW under what must be extreme stress. VW has provided a great service for so many years that I can't see it bailing out. The long downtime is unfortunate, and for whatever reasons, it's a shame things have turned out this way, but I believe Ghost's communication is a good and positive sign the site will be restored.

Totally agree Vixen. Nami and I have been here for years, and will continue to come here for years.

I would like to see an answer. What is going on?? Which is it? IF you guys come back I would like to at least finish out my paid time with RC. I really want to believe things will be back and happy, but these mixed messages aren't reassuring me at all.

I am reading a lot about getting an e-mail with the needs of the company so they can get things up and running. Here is my question why did I find out about this whole deal with a google search. I never recieved an e-mail and I have subs to redclouds and homeclips. Aggravated about this whole deal, whatever time your down is what we should be credited with right? In any case why was I never notified having paid for this site, that should all be in a seperate file right? In any case we need to get straight answers even if it is not what we want to hear or this could be a larger legal battle than the one your fighting. VW realizes this, correct? Please just no smoke and mirrors we are all big boys and girls, shoot it straight and we will stand behind you, I have for 8 years why would I stop now. Thank you
