Did you follow your own advice and say "no"?
Even if you take a war most people think was "good" (WW II), look at the bombing of Hamburg, the fire raid on Tokyo, and of course things like Hiroshima.
Don't expect me to defend LBJ, who wore a Silver Star he was given for an inspection mission as a reservist sitting on his posterior in DC.
No, the "Willie and Joe" comparison is valid because a WW II draftee had no way of knowing at the time how the war would turn out or whether historians (who are mostly leftists) would rank it.
So, Clown, what did you do in the war that you would be proud of?
Did you pretend to be using illegal drugs, or did you pretend to be gay, or did you flee to Canada in the hope that some president such as Carter would come along to grant amnesty?
