Temperatures in the eastern half of the U.S. may be the coldest to ring in any new year in at least 70 years, according to one model forecast pointed out by Dr. Brian Brettschneider, climatologist with the Western Regional Climate Center.

(MAPS: 10-Day U.S. Forecast Highs/Lows)

With temperatures forecast to be around 10 degrees, this could be the second-coldest New Year's Eve ball drop on record in New York City, with subzero wind chills possible.

Subzero low temperatures will likely engulf the northern and central Plains, upper Midwest, Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, parts of New York state and New England through at least Tuesday. Teens, 20s, even 30s below zero will grip locations near the Canadian border in those regions.

"The average global land and ocean surface temperature for January–November 2017 was 0.84°C (1.51°F) above the 20th century average of 14.0°C (57.2°F)—the third highest global land and ocean temperature for January–November in the 1880–2017 record, behind the record year 2016 and 2015 (second highest)."-NOAA

Today Insipid can see the temporary effects of La Niña on the the jet stream and cooler weather in the eastern continental U.S. compared to El Niño years.

But being an ignorant assclown, Loser Boy Insipid is unaware that he's only providing us more evidence in support of the global climate change prediction models. Sadly, the AssClown Insipid lacks all awareness of one of the largest wildfires in recorded history burning in California due to hotter, dryer weather than normal years, or the record typhoon that just swept through the Philippines.
http://www.cnn.com/2017/12/26/us/2017-c ... index.html

The AssClown Loser Insipid and johnforbes can always be counted on to give us the latest local weather report as a substitute for global climate change information. But for some reason they never post about the extreme high temperatures experienced around the world, or even around the U.S.. That's what comes of having the inflexible mind of a conservative who believes the world revolves around himself and his problems. When will they ever learn that "global" means "world" and not "my backyard"?

We thank my Slack-jawed Punk Bitch Urinal Insipid once again for reminding us of the dire effects of global warming on temperature extremes that we can expect to experience in the coming years.

So,

When it gets warm, that's global warming.
When it gets cold, that's also global warming.
Hurricanes are caused by global warming.
The absence of hurricanes is also global warming.
Earthquakes are caused by global warming.
(Except when they are caused by fracking)
California wildfires are also evidence of global warming.

However, the Comrade Homo AssClown Loser Marxist Tool's bleeding asshole is caused by over use out at the interstate highway rest area's handicapped stall.

Wait guys you have it all wrong, CNN just explained that if it's hotter than normal, that's proof of "climate change" if it's colder than normal, that's just a "weather change" and means nothing.

It's hilarious how johnforbes conveniently forgets he was sweating like a pig running in 78 degree weather in December two years ago.

Great example of climate change clown, these freezes are just weather changes. I believe many of you libtards really believe that's the case, because the media told you so!

Given the NY Eve party last night, it is difficult for me to clear my head after drinking glass after glass of orange juice.

However, I have now recovered sufficiently to note that Clowntoker appears to be a deranged leftist.

After johnforbes' admission of his own unbridled debauchery last night, it lends credence to my story of what happened to me last night.

As I was telling someone about this clownish fellow johnforbes with whom I discussed politics on a regular basis, a very rude drunk interrupted and said "johnforbes eats shit sandwiches" but I quickly came to johnny's defense.

I told the guy that wasn't true since I knew for a fact that johnforbes doesn't eat bread.

Pathetic, even for someone whose only tools are The Big Lie, silly ass word games and emoticons.

But I bet the Comrade Homo AssClown Loser Marxist Tool was an absolute wizzard at third grade playground taunts.

^^^^^ As we see here, the AssClown Insipid has given up on trying to rationalize his weather report as invalidating climate change theory because he is unable to use facts and reason to support his position, as always.

He FEELS something is wrong with his arguments, but he just can't put his finger on what it is.

I hope you enjoyed the music I provided for you, Turd Boy.

Since 1961, I have done my posting by means of an IBM Selectric typewriter.

However, as I commenced the preparation of a stinging rebuttal to Elkin's post (supra), several of my fingers froze together.

In this winter of our discontent, it is just too cold to discuss warming.

See I told you, libtards actually believe that if it's colder than normal, it's just weather change, but if it's warmer than normal then it's CLIMATE change. How can they look in a mirror and not break out in laughter?

Clownkicker...I can't add anything to your intelligent posts. You have3 done an admirable job in laying out the facts about global warming. As always, your posts fall on deaf ears. I'm at a loss how anyone can deny the overwhelming evidence.

As I've said before, "A little knowledge is a dangerous thing."

Puck, "What fools these mortals be."
By johnforbes
#98161
But that is not your saying.

The actual quotation is: "A little learning is a dangerous thing. Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian Spring...".

Let's actually drink deeply for a second and realize that people are not intelligent merely to the extent that they agree or disagree with your (or my) political opinions.

Today, Einstein is accepted. Was he instantly accepted or was there a crucial test of one of his crucial theories?

Was Darwin immediately greeted with praise for his theory?

Throughout history, there have been enormous -- and long -- episodes of false scientific certitude.
By Clownkicker
#98166
...And if jonforbes had any intellectual integrity, he would also admit that today there is a 97% consensus among the world's climate scientists that rapid global warming is occurring.

When the idea of rapid global warming was first proposed decades ago, there were immediately many skeptics and deniers, just as with Einstein or Darwin, and rightly so given the scientific information available at the time. But this theory was not proposed last year, was it, johnny? Talking about proper skepticism immediately following a newly proposed theory has nothing to do with idiotic skepticism decades after the theory was proposed and tested and shown to be valid.
Contrary to johnforbes' belief that "Flat Earth" proponents are just being shrewdly skeptical, there comes a point when it must be recognized that they are merely being willfully ignorant and foolish.

Just as it took years for a broad scientific consensus to develop on Einstein and Darwin, now decades later the data are in on climate change and climate scientists essentially all agree: unprecedented and rapid global warming is occurring and much of it is caused my human behaviors.

As usual, johnforbes is inadvertently giving argument against his own ridiculously 'cautious' position and that of the rest of the deniers on this forum. But now you clowns should stop relying on johnforbes to finally give you permission to get out of the road. His silly 'reasonable cautious skepticism' about the possible danger manifest in the Mack truck bearing down on you will not save you once it is too late to move to safety before it hits. And there will be no comfort in the knowledge that you didn't "jump to any rash conclusions" about it before it hit you.

Fortunately, climate scientists know more than you do. For decades they have been studying what happens when fast-moving Mack trucks hit things and actually understand the science behind the threat embodied in that Mack truck. When they tell you to move out of the way it would be wise to listen to them.

Unfortunately, it may already be too late for you to move to safety. But you still might escape with only losing a leg or an arm.

First, the whole history of science has been episodes where the consensus turned out to be wrong.

Second, there is a reason why there may be 97 percent consensus -- government money handed out to scientists who must accept (or pretend to) that consensus to get money.

Global warming hysterics take a brief snapshot of time and extrapolate that out to an imminent global emergency.
Ever since there has been a climate it has been changing.

Global warming hysteria is all about control of the masses and the Commisars in the Peoples Glorious Revolutionary Politboro have ordered the Comrade Homo Sambo AssClown Loser Marxist Tool to push that Big Lie.

"Global warming hysterics take a brief snapshot of time and extrapolate that out to an imminent global emergency."-AssClownLoserInsipid

No, Insipid, the exact opposite is true.
Both YOU and johnforbes are the ones taking "a brief snapshot in time" (the cold snap in your particular small planetary neighborhood) and using that to extrapolate out to a complete lack of concern for the overwhelming danger we face from climate change.

"Global warming hysteria is all about control of the masses..."-AssClownDimwitInsipid

But we aren't talking about "hysteria", are we, you dishonest turd.
We're talking about peer reviewed science from reputable publications. And virtually all of them are giving you a calm, evidence-based, reasoned warning about what we face as a species, not to mention the threat thousands of other species face because of us.

If you could be bothererd to actually read a scientific paper once in a while, you would see that they are anything BUT 'hysterical'. (Read my NOAA link above if you don't believe me)

But reactionary conservatives here simply don't respond to calm reason and facts. They only respond to their vague feelings about whatever bombastic repetition of lies and platitudes they are spoon fed by their handlers.

OK I'll play; 97% of scientific consensus is that climate change is natural and man couldn't change the climate if they tried. Man can't even make it rain!

From Drudge just now:
Former Vice President Al Gore has weighed in on the record cold and snow in the U.S. “It’s bitter cold in parts of the US, but climate scientist Dr. Michael Mann explains that’s exactly what we should expect from the climate crisis,” Gore wrote on January 4 on Twitter.

Gore linked to one of his organizations’ articles on the brutal winter weather written by Climategate professor Michael Mann: The Climate Reality Project: A ‘PERFECT STORM’: EXTREME WINTER WEATHER, BITTER COLD, AND CLIMATE CHANGE

In the Gore touted article, Mann linked the cold and “lots of snow” to “climate change.”
Exactly what I said. No matter what happens, it's because of global warming.

The good news is that the Ozone Man is running a twofer sale on carbon credits, today only.
