Four people were shot and killed Tuesday morning when a gunman opened fire at multiple "random" locations in Northern California — including near an elementary school, authorities said.

Four people — including two children — were also wounded in the incident. The shooter was killed by police officers.

In an ideal case, trained police officers would be better.

But one thing I noticed about the military was that crises tended to pop up in some armpit of the world at some inconvenient time or in the rain, etc.

Sometimes you just can't until the police get there, as in this case, several people were murder while the police were on their way to help. It's great the police finally got there but had the victims been able to defend themselves the bad guy wouldn't have had bullets flying his way, instead of a turkey shoot.
