Respectfully,

Setting a 15 day deadline for People who have won contests to respond to VW or lose their prize is not only foolish, it will probably not fly in a Florida Court.

Were that to happen to me, i would toodle on down to the Court House on Platt Street and file in small claims just for the pleasure of forcing an appearance and response. The discovery would be thorough as well.

I would, respectfully, suggest you honor the winnings won happily and with lavish fanfair. 84 lavish gift baskets would cost a pitance and go a long long way towards rebuilding some trust and comfort with the managerial systems now in place.

I respectfully suggest you rethink the cost of trying to weasel out of paying a few dozen women who ACTUALLY TRUSTED VW ENOUGH TO SUBMIT PICTURES OF THEMSELVES. Seriously.

Now back to more discussions of nekkid women!

This has been bothering me since I first saw it and since I am now unbanned, I can say something (thanks guys).

These are people who won months ago and in many or most cases already responded to you in the 15 day period that the contest required. If you are the rightful owners of VW, you are the rightful owners of their debts. There is no way any court is going to allow you to set a new, short deadline unless you are ready and able to show they missed that earlier deadline.

Goodwill means more than anything here and after the last month, VW needs it. VW really need to suck it up and accept that requests for payment on long-past due awards will have to be honored, even if they come weeks and months from now. Ethically, you are hard pressed to do otherwise and legally there is no leg to stand on.

The winners are the people we come here to see; if they weren't, they wouldn't be the winners. VW needs to keep these contributors and ticking off even one of them is a bad investment.

Oh, but sorry to spoil your fun rockclimber, but small claims court usually does not allow discovery. Its all he-said / she-said.

First please let me make this clear, ALL winners from March and April will get paid. Any winners with issues from checks from previous months will also be paid. There is no weaseling out of anything here. I agree that the winners are an integral part of this site and keeping them happy is also integral! The 15 day deadline has always been in effect, as what you read by ghost was the template for the winner's notification email. However, I do understand that with all the issues right now people want more time, and this time limit of 15 days is not a strict cut off, but we would like the winners to respond in a timely fashion so we can fix this problem once and for all. And I cannot wait to get back to "nekkid" women.

Ah yes, Discovery.....

Imagine the following...

Attny for SHE, "Sir, state your full name, address and relationship to the entity known as VW?"

HE, "Erm... Can I just pay the Lady and go?"

Attny for SHE, "No. Your Honor, please direct the witness to answer the question."

Need I go on.....

(PS, I personally have no contri up for any awards, though I am a past contributor. I have however enjoyed the sense of community that I found here and am more than a little bit dicouraged to see the current melt down. I find it frustrating to see the terribly poor public relations missteps on both sides.

Kiki: Good to hear, I would be sure to put that Info out there big and bold on the first page of the site. If I were making decissions, I would contact EACH of them personally and and make a huge deal out of it. I would go back through the last six months and start some NEW " Best of..." contests with NEW votes.... Give these people, who are your fast evaporating Fan Base, something NEW to discuss, vote on, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera....

RC

PS, Do we get to peek at your tits?

RockClimber,
It is up on the very first thing you see (the Updates thread) I promise! Additionally, I have been in touch with several of the winners to explain this and have posted on other threads dealing with this issue, so I am trying to get the word out! I hope you find the poor public relations have come to an end, and the fan base seems to be taking notice. If you have any further issues with public relations don't hesitate to email me and I will deal with it. And sorry, no tits for now!
