They also couldn't finish the motto "Duty, honor, ___________" so they were unimpressive.

But my bet is that people here do know what tragic genius put together the Christmas album referred to in Alex Trebek's question.

Of course, Trebek poses questions.

Because of Merv Griffin's game structure, they are couched as answers.

That is an annoying aspect of the show, but then almost any trivia game (e.g., Trivia Pursuit) will have such quirkly aspects.

As to the question, the album they had in mind was Phil Spector's.
