Political discussions about everything

Parade magazine asked the question: How does Bob Schieffer escape the news and relax?

I likeSchieffer, but CBS News will not report on enormous scandals now ripe for real journalism.

Panetta said he told Obama on September 11, 2012 that Benghazi was an "attack by terrorists." Those defending Benghazi were told to stand down. Despite this, Obama and Hillary and Rice all lied about a video causing Benghazi, and they did that to preserve the campaign narrative that terrorism was "on the run."

The IRS claims it "lost" Lois Lerner's email. Not one soul in America believes the IRS. But the media run from the story because journalists want to help Obama.

How does Schieffer escape the news? He just goes to work at CBS News, where nobody will mention the lies Obama told about Obamacare, the lies about Benghazi, the IRS targeting its political enemies, etc.

Liberalism gone wild for the last 6 years has fully exposed it for the failure it is. The last two elections have shown that the vast majority of Americans are now conservative, where at one time millions would fawn over the words of hollyweirdos sharing their vast liberal view of politics, they now giggle when they talk. Haven't you guys noticed when Obama was first crowned hollyweidos were giving liberal speech after liberal speech at every event, now they pose for the photo, say thank you and walk off the stage. People start walking out if they get up on their liberal bandwagon.

Liberalism under Obama has taken a huge hit, conservatives knew all along that if liberalism was ever put into play it would fail, Obama proved us correct. Bob Schieffer escaped the news, but he can't escape the results, Obama destroyed the liberal dream and strengthened the Republican party.

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.

Gruber is yet another case study in the Upton Sinclair saying, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something if his salary depends on his not understanding it.” In Gruber’s case, a “transparent” Obamacare bill would have made the enrichment of Big Pharma and the health insurers more visible. The idea of universal healthcare, which also involves the healthy paying for the sick, is popular all over the world. Most people understand that even if they are healthy now, they can in short order be among those needing big ticket health care if they have a too-close encounter with a rapidly moving vehicle. So Gruber’s excuse ins’t just patronizing, it’s dishonest.

another prick involved....

let's not omit the cccccuuuuuunt......shall we.....

So, weedhopper, the point is....It's not "barry care" It's "jew care"

This recently-posted video (hat tip Daily Signal) shows Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber matter-of-factly stating that an honestly and simply described Obamacare would not have passed Congress. Preying on “the stupidity of the American voter” was necessary to get the bill passed. Of course, Gruber deems that to be a good thing. And similar well-intentioned policy wonks brought us bank deregulation, which ultimately produced the financial crisis, “free trade,” which is actually managed trade designed around the interests of American multinationals, and our Middle Eastern adventurism, among other things.

Wow, I had no idea you thought bank deregulation, "free trade", and the Iraq Wars were bad ideas.

Gutsy admission from you, johnny.

So you're saying that deception resulted in good things in the past?
But now you're saying that using deception is per se a bad thing?

If you don't agree with the quotation, then you shouldn't use it to support your beliefs.

If those other things achieved through deception are not bad ideas to you, then how can you argue that achieving Obamacare through deception is necessarily a bad thing?
To be complacent about the deceptions when they result in policies you like but to then be upset by the deception when it works against your wishes is just more of your hypocrisy.

"It is a quotation."-johnforbes

By the way, when something is quoted in type, it is put in quotation marks or attributed to the author.
Otherwise, it's just plagiarism.
You know, just "par for the course" for you.

Come on, Clownsucker.

You know quite well that I hardly need to lean on others to wax articulate.

The process of brushing aside liberal dolts such as Lucky is hardly one which would tax a person.
