Obama assured us there was little to no chance of Ebola to reach the United States, it arrived the day he made that promise. If a nurse in the United States under CDC oversight treating a known Ebola patient can catch Ebola, imagine the risks for our 4,000 military members wet nursing Ebola patients in Africa.

Oh I forgot Obama promised us there is no chance any of the soldiers could catch Ebola because they know how to avoid it. The question is when our soldiers start catching Ebola will Obama blame the military leaders?

Obama once again refuses to restrict flights coming in from Ebola infested areas, he also continues to insure us that we can't catch Ebola sitting next to someone, but yet this nurse caught it although she was wearing full protective gear.
CDC DIRECTOR DR. TOM FRIEDEN says a 'breach of protocol' caused a Dallas nurse to preliminarily test positive for Ebola, despite the hospital's claim the worker was wearing full protective gear when providing care for Thomas Eric Duncan, the first patient in the US diagnosed with Ebola who died last week.
So there you have it when the first airline passengers catch Ebola from the person they sit next to, the Obama administration will blame it on a breach of sitting protocol. Why is the Obama Administration exposing 4,000 troops to Ebola, why is allowing Africans from Ebola infected areas continue to stream in, why is Obama pretending none of this is happening and continue to pretend you can't catch it and it won't come to America. Why all the false information?

Geezus, RealTool, grow up.
ALL Presidents lie.
That's what we hire them for.

Now if you want to complain that Obama isn't a very good liar, then argue that position, but to say Obama was "wrong" about this is to display the most childish of minds.

N0 0ne can "promise" that Ebola won't arrive here. (If in fact Obama even said that at all.)
NO ONE, ever.
Any fool knows this from the get-go.

Presidents tell morons like you this stuff to keep them from running through the streets naked and screaming in panic, killing people and burning buildings.
When you hear a President tell you this sort of thing, an intelligent person just thinks, "Well, this must really be a scary danger we're facing to make a President go on TV an tell such an obvious lie, but it seems to be working for the time being. The dimwits aren't rioting yet."

But RealTool takes this stuff seriously like a child, just like he takes Al Gore seriously on scientific matters.
RealTool also believed his mom when she told him Santa Claus is real. (And probably still believes it since he knows mommies don't lie either.)
If he would go to his local community college and take Biology 101 he would be less gullible and terrified when he hears words like "AIDS" or "Ebola" he would stop doing so many stupid things (like shaking hands with someone and then picking his nose) and simply have a healthy new-found respect for mother nature.
A science class would also make him less susceptible to his handlers duping him so easily about 'non-existent' climate change.
And while he's there lifting his lifelong intellectual fog, a course that includes Zeno wouldn't hurt either.

Glad to see you're finally leaving off the claim that "man" is causing climate changes which are by the way...just part of nature.

Anytime a politician makes a promise, just remember the phrase "read my lips."

Bush Sr was certainly wrong to raise taxes after promising not to.

I still think Bush Sr was, on balance, a decent person. And in his 80s was parachuting (albeit in tandem).

People who jump out of planes do tend to be wonderful.

United States Department of Defense Chuck Hagel said U.S. soldiers deploying to Africa are receiving extensive training before deployment "I am confident that we can ensure our service members' complete safety."
Well there you go, Obama's hand picked crony has spoken, no worries, trust him. Obviously Hagel and Obama are not concerned about the soldiers getting Ebola and if they do it'll be their own damn fault for not paying attention during the fail proof training they received.

As soldiers do get Ebola (some will), Hagel will announce he has ordered an extensive investigation to find out how the soldiers' protocol broke down...Obama will announce the investigation is his top priority because he owes is it to our military to get to the bottom of what "they" did wrong, we will never learn the results of the investigation, just as we're still waiting on the results of Obama's promised timely and thorough investigation of Benghazi.

Obama Administration blames Texas for Ebola screw ups and all of sudden claims Constitution held them back from protecting citizens.
"One of the things we have to understand is the federal, state and local public health relationships," says Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota. "Public health is inherently a state issue. The state really is in charge of public health at the state and local level. It's a constitutional issue."
So Texas allowed the African with Ebola to enter the United States and other States are allowing hundreds of Africans from Ebola infested areas to enter daily. It's not our Federal government's responsibility or fault.

Thousands die every year from the flu and now conservatives want to shut down the airspace because 2 or 3 people died from ebola. Conservative jerkoffery at it's finest.

Dude did you forget it was Obama that said Ebola is a threat to America's national security and is sending 4,000 US troops to Africa to fight it? So Obama lied?

Notice Elk's approach to this containment question. He calls the real threat of a pandemic "conservative jerkoffery".
I am specifically referring to him, if you will, counting the deaths, comparing the death rates of flu, etc., and concluding the threat to be low.

Shut down travel OUT of affected areas.
Go in all you want, but you cannot come back out til the threat is contained.
I have to comment that yes, it is a conservative approach to containing the spread.
That is the conservative way to do it.
The liberal way is how we are doing it now....pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, everything is alright.
No need to shut down air travel, and risk offending anyone....nah.....

Well I just want to remind Elk that the only two cases of Ebola diagnosed here in the US came in how?
By plane.

So I will keep my "conservative jerkoffery" and play it safe. No more air travel OUT of affected nations.

When blood starts shooting out your eyes, Elk, maybe you will "see it differently".
(Get it? Blood in your eyes...seeing it differently...have to explain that one to Elk.)

ElkinDoofus is far and away the stupidest person to ever post here. And he proves it anew every day. The sad thing is he is exactly the person the libs want swallowing their BS and voting the party line. Obongo is president because of gullible fools like him. Sit on your ass, hold out your hand and let the government take care of everything. That's the libtard way.

There are planes arriving in the US from those areas everyday. Now the airport people are suppose to identify potential carriers while protecting everyone else! GOD Help US! The plane baggage handlers and maintenance people at these US international airports are threatening strikes saying they don't have training or equipment to properly decontaminate the planes! Some outright say they were not hired to do this!

If a nurse fully equipped and trained for this got infected anyway.....what hope is there, the rest of us will remain safe? Yes I'm afraid...very afraid.

What is interesting to me is Elk's casual blow off of a couple of dead people...
He says and I paraphrase....."Ehhh. It is just two or three....that died...no biggie."
More ppl die of other diseases each day....nothing to worry about.

I am no idealist. By any stretch of the imagination. But Elk...bleeding heart liberal Elk....he should be, I would think.

I am beginning to see a connection between his casual attitude and the Obama "Death Panels" that have resulted from Obamacare.

Hey Elk....you the chairman of one of those panels?

Forget politics for a second. It is just common sense to cut off incoming flights from West Africa for a few months and get this sorted out.

But Obama and his ilk have no common sense, nor do they have any concern for the safety of Americans.

The White House argues shutting down incoming flight from Ebola invested areas would shut off medical aid they need...that's how stupid the White House think Americans are, they really expect us to accept that reasoning. No one has a right to come to America, of course we should be telling West Africa until Ebola is contained, sorry we aren't allowing you in. Any American that travels to those infested areas should be told they'll be placed in government quarantine for 21 days "at that their own cost" upon return. The government should pay the quarantine for anyone they send to the areas, but every returning American should be placed in the quarantine. It's time for our Government to start doing their job and place the safety of Americans first!

Influenza occurs globally with an annual attack rate estimated at 5%–10% in adults and 20%–30% in children. Illnesses can result in hospitalization and death mainly among high-risk groups (the very young, elderly or chronically ill). Worldwide, these annual epidemics are estimated to result in about 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness, and about 250 000 to 500 000 deaths.

OK everybody, it's flu season, now shut down the airspace!!!

First Ebola death in Germany, two more being treated.

Nigeria and Ivory Coast join 30 other countries banning flights from countries hit by outbreak, Obama increases Visa's to those Ebola hit countries and throws our borders open.

Another Ebola case in Texas
DALLAS (AP) — A second Dallas hospital worker who provided care for the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S. has tested positive for the disease. The new case lends support to nurses' claims this week that they have inadequate training and in some cases, protective gear, to take care of Ebola patients.

"We're not prepared" for what we're being asked to do, said RoseAnn DeMoro, executive director of National Nurses United, a union with 185,000 members.
The CDC will blame it on the hospital worker and pet themselves on the back as our airports wave in thousands of new Africans from the invested areas a day who will disperse across the United States. The CDC once again said we should have no concerns, all of our hospitals are prepared to deal with it, trust them.
