Just a thought, rather than remove posts by pros submitting as amatuers, just tag each image with a watermark stating "This model contributes professionally on the web and is not eligible for contests."

Leave the post up, I think it improves traffic and would be more fun. No voting perhaps no comments BUT track views and maybe a simple thumb up or down?

Winston, tell your human that is an idea worthy of merit. My thoughts are that we would be relying on Admin to carefully screen every contri and do a thorough search of the Web to see if they are posting elsewhere. I like the idea in concept but what is the reality of it? I'm sure they could catch some but my guess is that there will always be some that slip through.

I have no idea what Admin does in their everyday duties. I'm sure they do more than just look at pics of nekkid women. The reality is... how much time do they have to review any given contri and determine if it is amateur or pro?

Rock, after reading your comment again, I do like the idea. The key is to be able to accurately make a determination that a given contri is a pro. May not be that easy. I sure don't know...

I wouldn't spend a whole lot of time on it personally. Just watermark the ones discovered and let the contributor make am appeal prove they are not. Either yjey are published or they aren't. But keep em up
.

They're usually pretty good. Lol!

My main concern would be what affect this would have on the legitimate amateur contributors. I would suspect that many women would not be enthusiastic about having professional model's photos posted next to their own photos. I think that one of the attractions for amateur contributors has always been that they were not 'competing' with professional models. Even if the pros are not competing in the contests, they will still be competing for attention...or at least, may of the amateur contributors my feel that way. You should carefully consider this would have on the amateur contributors before condoning professional photos. And water marking them as such will in essence be a sign that you are openly welcoming professional contributions.

How are you going to prove you are not a professional? You can prove that the photo is also on another site. You know if someone is charging for their pix. Both of these can be proven if you FIND something.

How do you prove amateurism? By the lack of something physical on the web?

Bad idea. Once you mix professionals with amateurs, the amateurs lose attention, and worse are compared to the professionals. Every little flaw in an amateur is then compared to someone being paid to stay in top shape, or have a professional photographer edit those parts out. Think your wife or girlfriend really wants to put herself next to models?

Traffic. That says a lot about the new attitude here. Traffic is king. We once prided ourselves that VW was more about being a community than sheer volumes of traffic. No more. Make VW into a site like a hundred others, and you'll get traffic. Plenty of people doing drivebys. Then you'll also have the problem of people stealing images off the web and claiming they are that professional. No profit? That's not why they do it.

Jammer is 100% correct. Allowing professionals is openly welcoming them, and VW becomes just another top post gallery. No real involvement here.

How can ideas like this even float? Stop wasting the programmer's time on ideas that should never be done. You rush off to the programmers before even getting the feedback you requested? Makes no sense at all.

First:
Thanks to rockclimber, Jbe,Thinker and Jammer for not just thinking of this idea, but then going through it critically. I wholeheartedly agree that pro's should not be mixed in with amateur's.

Kiki, thanks for taking the time to look into it and then ask about it. It proves that you are willing to listen.

Now, FAQ:

You make me laugh. :) You're not critical, you're just nasty, always. You're not here to help.

Do you forget that Igor disqualified girls but kept the pictures up still? I can still find them in Funbags as well as the winner's archive. Do you forget about having MFF integrated within VoyeurWeb? Oh, yes, Igor is fantastic and everything about Igor is fantastic. Everything he did was gold, right? :) Why are you here even giving VW one hit of traffic? Oh, right, because you're an Igor fan boy, you need to come over here and cause drama. It fuels you to be a nasty person. It's funny, you don't see many people going over to his site and doing the same thing that you come over here to do. It shows the mentality of people in these opposing sides. Which is the community that has a website attacking individuals involved with VW and which one doesn't? Right. Same mentality. Get your jollies by being nasty, because that's what gets you off.

The attitude here is an open discussion on improving a community, something you're not a part of. There is no improving in you're book, you only care about saying a few nasty things and moving on. You're here to cause drama, the same you've been doing for almost every single one of your posts.

Please, don't come back unless you're actually here to help. Be critical, but don't be an ass.

Oh, and in my opinion? I agree with the base of your statement, I don't think that we should have any type of pros mixed in, but I appreciate that Kiki listened and that the other members of the community helped debate it.
