The Natural Cycle will stop Global Warming. At some future point the planet will experience future ice ages, and future warming in a never ending cycle. It doesn't really matter what we do on this planet, about the worst result, for us anyway, is that we will kill off humanity and then the planet will recover from anything we could have done. Like they say, time heals all wounds including any we may inflict on the planet.

The point is that the Climate will in fact change, and spending trillions on measures that will do nothing to stop it from happening is insane, especially when the measures are inflicted on US without being imposed on the entire world. It will just kill our economy even worse than it already is by making us less competitive on the world market.

If you want to take measures that make sense then we should be spending money by leading the research on how to thrive in a changing climate rather than wasting it trying to stop the inevitable and then still have to come from behind to figure out how to thrive.

There will always be things we can't change or control and it always makes more sense to deal with how we respond well to them instead of trying to control them or fretting because we can't control them.

A reasonable person also understands that the trillions be spent trying to stop climate changes would be much better spent preparing with how we deal with the coming changes just to survive. In fact the trillions being spent to fight climate change is actually making us less prepared to deal with the changes by outlawing life saving resources and means to deal with what's to come.
