When they can't attack the facts Forbes and Silly go after the one who posted the facts. But, the Trump trolls stand by their man. Never let the facts get in the way of your beliefs.

Ah, the wrath of Trump.

President Donald Trump on Sunday ramped up his ongoing feud with former Attorney General Jeff Sessions, claiming Sessions wasn’t "mentally qualified" for the job.

During an interview on "Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson," Trump called Sessions, who he handpicked for the 2017 appointment, a "disaster" who was never qualified for the role of attorney general.

"He's not mentally qualified to be Attorney General," Trump said. "He was the biggest problem. I mean, look Jeff Sessions put people in place that were a disaster."

How can Republicans ever win elections if everyone votes.

The Republican National Committee and other GOP groups filed a lawsuit against California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday, arguing a move to expand mail-in voting during the pandemic is illegal.

The suit, filed in federal court in the state’s eastern district, also names the California Republican Party and the National Republican Congressional Committee as plaintiffs.

In a tweet announcing the suit, national committee chair Ronna McDaniel called Newsom’s executive order “radical” and a “recipe for disaster that would create more opportunities for fraud.”

His May 8 order requires election officials in each of the state’s 58 counties to send mail-in ballots to all registered voters.

“No Californian should be forced to risk their health in order to exercise their right to vote,” Newsom said.

The suit comes as Republicans in other states have echoed an assertion from President Donald Trump that mail ballots are “dangerous” and “fraudulent.”

The latest from the tin hat people.

Fighting misinformation and conspiracy theories about the novel coronavirus has almost been as hard as battling the pandemic itself. And a new survey has found that one conspiracy theory about Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is taking hold.

A conspiracy theory that Gates is planning to use a future COVID-19 vaccine to implant microchips in billions of people in order to monitor their movements has gained supporters particularly among Fox News viewers and Republicans, the survey found.

The representative survey of 1,640 US adults by YouGov for Yahoo News found that half of respondent Americans who say Fox News is their primary television news source believe the conspiracy theory. It's the largest group responding this way, followed by self-described Republicans and "Voted for Donald Trump in 2016" -- 44% of both those groups said they believed the conspiracy theory was true. Twenty-six percent of respondent Republicans said it was false, and 31% said they weren't sure.

Representatives for Fox News, the Republican Party, the White House and the Trump 2020 campaign didn't immediately respond to requests for comment. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which the namesake founders use to fund medical research and vaccine programs around the world, also didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

First of all, it is important to recognize that migrant essential workers were key to our economies and societies before the pandemic and are likely to become even more essential in the recovery to sustain our weakened economies and exhausted societies. For example,
13 percent of essential workers in the EU are immigrants (i.e., non-EU nationals). In some key occupations, however, the share is substantially higher: More than 1 in 3 domestic workers, more than 1 in 4 construction/mining workers, and 1 in 5 workers in food processing are migrants.

The Senate voted 49-44 to confirm Ratcliffe, who received more “no” votes than any previous nominee for the position. (His predecessor under Trump, the Republican senator Dan Coats, was confirmed 85-12.)

The vote brings to an end an unusually lengthy confirmation process for Racliffe. Trump informally nominated him to the post in June of last year, but bipartisan opposition to his nomination quickly derailed Ratcliffe’s chances. He withdrew from consideration in August.

Then a Republican congressman from Texas, Ratcliffe had pointed to his experience as a federal prosecutor in Texas to bolster his national security credentials, but his resume proved to be exaggerated. And although he has now served on the House Intelligence Committee for a little over a year, Ratcliffe has never worked in the intelligence community.

Why this guy when there are so many dog catchers around?
