Today he hinted that he may pardon Manafort and others Mueller may prosecute because the investigations were politically motivated based upon lies as leverage to get him, but clarified he'll wait and see what happens.

Manafort was exonerated 7 or so years ago by, inter alia, Rosenstein.

Pursuing him again was just an effort to get him to say something about Trump -- in other words, the same sort of political "investigation" you see in a Banana Republic.

But then the Obama Administration's "justice" was akin to a Banana Republic.
