I attended a business meeting in Seattle last week and was disgusted with the filth and people begging/harassing people as you walked through the city. I walked out of my hotel which in Pioneer square and there was a homeless guy taking a dump 5 feet from the entrance. The strange thing about it, people were walking by paying him no attention as if that was the norm. I had a woman in a wheel chair smoking pot, try to sell me crack a block from the police department. Filth and homeless was everywhere. My first thoughts, were what must tourists from other countries think about Americans after visiting this disgusting city. You get out of Seattle central and it's not that bad, but one must wonder how a rich city can let this happen.

Frisco has now rehired elevator operators with the goal of stopping homeless people from using elevators as bathrooms.

Of course, RealTool doesn't have a single practical suggestion to make to solve the problems.

He also fails to mention that large Republican RUN cities have exactly the same problems. How could Republicans allow this to happen, Tool?

It's pretty simple. Republicans have been dismantling the social safety net and cutting funding to public schools for decades. They don't want to help single mothers but they damn well insist that women BECOME single mothers. They don't want to help drug addicts, but they sure want to make sure they stay drug addicts. They don't want to help the homeless with medical care, or even restrooms for that matter, so all this sort of thing goes on in the streets.

RealTool wonders why drug addicts don't just get jobs and clean up their acts, take a shower, and go shit in the restaurant he eats at, but he'll be damned if HE will give one of them a job so that they can avail themselves of the typical conservative 'solution' to their problems. And if one of them shits in the restaurant he patronizes, he will complain to the management that he won't return if he has to tolerate such clientele.

The real question is, how do conservatives let this happen? After all, they are good God-fearing Christians and preach self-righteously about loving their fellow man and forcing women to have babies they don't want and can't afford. Well, we see exactly how much they love their fellow man.

Yes, I do, Tool, it's another simplistic non-specific, non-solution to a very real national problem.

I salute Clownslacker for his critique of simplistic solutions.

However, that begs the question of why all modern Democrats support socialism (free school, free health care) and open borders -- id est, the ne plus ultra of simplistic solutions.
