Political discussions about everything

Trump said it right this morning when he said "no pain, no gain" when people started complaining that China is striking back with their own tariffs. They're so use to American leaders bending over for them just to keep them happy that when Trump put a boot up their ass, they were shocked.

It's just like war, you won't win if you're afraid of looses so don't take any risks. Put your big boy panties on libies, it's going to get nasty! Watch for companies to start sneaking out of China. Pass the popcorn.

China will raise tariffs on $60 billion in U.S. goods in retaliation for the Trump administration’s latest decision to increase duties on $200 billion worth of Chinese products. Even a Democrat can see who came out on top on the tariffs. China is putting tariffs on food items, including peanuts, sugar, wheat, chicken and turkey. That means our food prices will go down, while theirs goes up. If they try and pass on the tariff costs Trump has placed on their items to American buyers, it means Americans may finally start buying American creating millions of new jobs. China fucked with the wrong honcho when they bait and switched during the trade agreement they were supposed to sign.

Tool, they CAN'T start buying American, dummy. America doesn't make anything any more. When your cell phone and your computers and your TV and your car and your washing machines and everything else you use inflate by 25%, you clowns with ODS will simply blame Obama instead of blaming the guy who actually, proudly, indisputably caused it.

Incidentally, NO ONE "comes out on top" of a trade war like this. Especially not Republicans and conservative economists who have been screaming for 40 years that tariffs are bad. You insisted that unencumbered "free trade" was the most important thing. Now all of a sudden you hypocrites are insisting Democrat economic policies were good all along. It would be hilarious if it weren't so pathetically sad.

We can't start buying American on certain items because we allowed places like China to capture the market with slave labor. The tariffs will bring in YUGE amounts of tax money from China while giving incentives for Americans to go back to building it ourselves. Win, Win!

As far as your argument about conservatives screaming that tariffs are bad for years, they were right, the tariffs were on us! Now Trump is leveling the playing field and tossing the tariffs right back at them.

" The tariffs will bring in YUGE amounts of tax money from China "-RealTool

China won't pay a nickel in "taxes" to the U.S. because of the tariffs. You have the same fundamental misunderstanding of tariff's that Trump has.

I hate to burst your delusional bubble, Tool, but YOU are going to be paying for the tariffs, not China.

"...while giving incentives for Americans to go back to building it ourselves."-RealTool

The U.S. will never go back to making TVs or cell phones or stereos or computers. Or clothing or pretty much ANY of the things you pretend they will. You're kidding yourself.

The 21st century needs educated tech-savvy people and food producers. The tariffs do nothing to create more of them. They are already taking out family farms. And as they reduce families' ability to support themselves due to higher costs for virtually everything a family needs, the number of children graduating from college owing $160,000 or more will only increase since parents will be forced to contribute less, which means graduates will be in debt for the next 30 years of their lives, without the ability to buy a home or even have families of their own.

The negative impact of these tariffs on the economy will be felt for the next ten years, at least. No one will "come out on top." The next generation, not China, will be paying for them for many years.

Obama also said it was over for America and we should just accept it. You're just as wrong as Obama was when he said “job are just not going to come back, we have to accept that”

The importers pay the tariff at the border and they pass on the cost of the tariff to you dummy.

NO FREE LUNCHES!

You're just as clueless as clown was but he finally got it.

Win 1- All that tariff money means less taxes that have to be collected from US citizen
Win 2- The prices of stuff made in China go up %25, which means people will start buying more made in a America stuff which means more US jobs.

Just watch companies from around the world start moving their operations out of China, it's coming.

Less taxes, more jobs. Genius!!! ;)

Yes, Tool, I got it. Now YOU need to get it.

"Win 1- All that tariff money means less taxes that have to be collected from US citizen"-RealDimwit

An import tariff IS a tax on U.S. citizens, dimwit, and they WILL be collected every time you buy something. You and I will pay for all of them. "All that tariff money" is U.S. citizen tax money being collected. None of it comes from China.

"Win 2- The prices of stuff made in China go up %25, which means people will start buying more made in a America stuff which means more US jobs."-RealStupid

As you have already been told, the U.S. will NOT start making TVs and cell phones and clothing and sneakers. And U.S. steel companies, for example, haven't added any jobs in the past year. Employment in steel has remained flat. The only thing that has changed is that the cost of washing machines and cars have gone up by triple digits. One purchase like that erases the entire Trump tax cut for 70% of Americans.

You Trump supporters were duped again. Trump pretended to give you a tax cut and then took it back in spades while you cheer your higher taxes. Your gullibility is just incredible. Meanwhile, the National Debt is ballooning and we're getting nothing for it.

I suppose that no one could have predicted that guy who conned the dolts into enrolling in his scam university and conned the dolts into donating to his scam charity and conned the dolts into voting for his scam presidency would now be trying to con the dolts into believing in his scam tariffs...

Go figure.

[quoteAn import tariff IS a tax on U.S. citizens, ][/quote]

No it isn't. It's a tax on those importing it into the United States, they then have to "try" and pass on that additional expense on to United States citizens. US citizens can say "fuck you" eat the import tax I'm buying made in America at those prices. :P
#116160
You have to kind of wonder how anyone could be dumb enough to lose a billion dollars.....and then you listen to this stupid moron blabber on incoherently about how tariffs are going to bring untold wealth to America and now you have to wonder how this fucking moron didn't manage to lose TWO BILLION DOLLARS???
#116164
RealTool doesn't question the financial abilities of El Chapo, the Sultan of Brunei, or Kim Jong Un either.

He admires them, just as Trump does. It is obvious to RealTool that that is the kind of person he wants running America.

As long as they have enough money, RealTool will hold them as role models and grovel to them.

Why is it conservatives only value money? It's sad and bodes ill for America.
#116165
My staffers have examined the financial disclosures of Elkin and Clown.

Both of them, by dint of constant effort and admirable diligence, have managed to assemble a net worth exceeding one thousand US dollars.

To be entirely fair to them, they simply cannot conceive of any human would could assemble a net worth of multiple billions of US dollars (as Trump has done).

"An import tariff IS a tax on U.S. citizens,..."-me

"No it isn't. It's a tax on those importing it into the United States,..."-RealTool

Yes, and "those importing it into the United States" are largely U.S. citizens, dimwit. And then they are reimbursed for paying the taxes up front when they collect the taxes by selling it to you. So YOU pay for it.

What you said only agrees with what I said but for some reason you need to pretend you disagree with me when you don't.

But have fun trying to avoid those taxes when you buy your U.S. made Iphone or Galaxy, Tool.
The U.S. doesn't even make johnforbes' model of toaster any more, so you can't make a call or get on the internet that way either.

Tool, never in my life have I seen a cell phone that carries $100 in its case to pay taxes as it crosses a border.

Only an imbecile would think that a tax on "items" means the items pay the taxes. "Items" never pay any taxes. People do. U.S. citizens do. Consumers do.

And you don't have a choice to pay it or not. That's the point. Almost everything Americans need to live in the 21st century comes from China. And if it doesn't, then the higher prices on those American made items will outstrip your delusional tax cut. You pay one way or the other, even if you buy American.
