Political discussions about everything

What a backward city, they have this huge 800 year old building made of bone dry wood and they had no effective plans to extinguish fires that might start. It got out of control because the fire trucks couldn't spray water high enough to put out the flames...what the fuck? You mean to tell me that there was no plans to use air tankers or helicopters to drop water from above? This is what happens when a country turns towards socialism, people fall asleep and depend on the government to take care of them and all the government is interested in is expanding their controls to grow to a point that justifies higher positions and more pay.

In the 80s and 90s I went often to the garden behind Notre Dame because they still had the free public pissoir there, out of sight of the sidewalk traffic.
Unfortunately Paris shut down all the old ones, so for a while men couldn't pee for free any longer. Now THAT was a shame.

But men just started peeing on the sidewalks.
Now Paris has put red "uritrottoirs" out on the street in the open so johnforbes has no excuse to piss on the sidewalks any more.

Interesting note: one night a photographer captured a rowdy johnforbes relieving himself in Le Marais. That photo became the original inspiration for the famous "Man-can-he Pis" fountain in Brussels.

So the Notre Dame cathedral was on fire and the dumbest assed individual on the entire planet just can't help but offer idiotic useless advice because that fucking moron imagines himself a fucking expert on everything.

Trump is nothing more than that loudmouth drunk at the end of the bar... but with nuclear weapons.

No, RealTool just told us he didn't say it burned to the ground, johnny. Try to keep up.
I said it was burning to the ground, how can I say it burnt to the ground while it was still burning to the ground? I also never said it didn't burn to the ground. Clown you watch too much CNN, pay attention to the words and stop jumping to conclusions based upon your biases. You look silly every time you do that. :clown:

No, Tool, you DIDN'T say "it was burning to the ground". You said it "burns to the ground". In that context and usage it means that Notre Dame was already burned to the ground.
Otherwise you would say "Paris' Notre Dame Cathedral burns, many celebrate" That is how you would write what you claim you meant. It is no wonder you don't know this because you didn't learn English from native speakers. You learned Pigeon English.

But you can't pretend you meant it was burning to the ground because there is no way you could possibly know that unless you are psychic. If that is what you meant, then you just admitted you made up stupid shit to post. Way to go, dimwit.

"pay attention to the words and stop jumping to conclusions based upon your biases."-RealTool

EXACTLY, dimwit, you were jumping to the conclusion that it would burn to the ground when it didn't. Now don't you feel stupid?

I also noticed you couldn't link to any news source that claimed anyone at all celebrated, let alone "many".
That's because you also made up that bit of stupid shit.

Tool, parading your ignorance of the English language does not help your case because I am not a dimwitted conservative.
Just accept you're wrong and you'll be able to sleep the rest of your life.

By the way, it is not "burnt"-- it's "burned". "Burnt" is used as an adjective, not a verb.
"...how can I say it burnt to the ground..."-RealTool
You can't say that, dummy. You can say "it burned to the ground" or you can say "the remaining structure is burnt", but you can't say "it burnt to the ground" That's gibberish.

ESL classes, Tool, ESL classes--now more than ever.

"... President Emmanuel Macron has said he wants Notre Dame to be restored in five years, in time for the 2024 Summer Olympics, which Paris is hosting. Restoration specialists have questioned the ambitious timeline, with some saying it could take three times that long to rebuild the 850-year-old architectural treasure...."

Macron needs to call Jimmy Carter...
I bet his Habitat for Humanity boys can get it done in a weekend..! :D
#115610
That's correct.

Instead of the focus being on some architectural treasure status, just get old Jimmah in to hang some drywall.

Instead of those wooden beams that were so vulnerable to arson, just use steel I-beams.

Also, Notre Dame tended to be chilly in the winter all those times I went there to pray for Clown's sanity, so they might want to think about some pink R-19 insulation.
